33 total votes now and things have changed a bit. Brooks & Yeldin are tied for 4th and Orozco is not far behind. Boyd - 15 votes Williams - 15 votes Shea - 14 votes Brooks - 11 votes Yeldin - 11 votes Orozco - 9 votes
...and those people voting other. Please tell us who you voted for. 4 people voted other... one of them was a mistake. Who are the other 3 votes for?
I agree with you about Castillo and the reasons for his inclusion. It's a shame though, because he isn't even the best American left back at his club.
My other was S. Johnson. I just think we'll need a 4th GK on the 30, and think he may displace Rimando. 3rd GKs rarely play so I think we should use it on a future GK rather than a veteran. I wouldn't complain it Rimando got it to reward his service to the Nats this cycle though.
I remember thinking in the send-off games of 2006 that Bruce regretted not being able to pick Michael Bradley as part of his 23. He got PT in multiple games in place of players who were actively fighting for roster spots.
Howard, Guzan, Rimando Besler, Gonzalez, Goodson, Brooks Cameron, Beasley, Parkhurst, Evans Bradley, Jones, Beckerman, Diskerud, Edu, Williams Dempsey, Donovan, F. Johnson, Bedoya, Zusi, Davis, Green, Shea Altidore, Johannsson, Wondolowski, E. Johnson, Boyd Danny Williams for sure. At least 1 center back, my guess is John Brooks has the advantage. A 5th striker to push the guys behind Altidore seems likely, so Boyd. Another fullback might be nice, but unless Klinsmann embarrassingly capitulates to Chandler then I think Shea sneaks in - he always seems to, and though Klinsmann like Castillo that doesn't seem to translate into as much playing time as one would expect. Evans, Davis and Green would be my expected 24-26 right now. (My personal selection of 4 from this list would be Ream, Yedlin, Feilhaber and Gil).
42 total votes now and it shaping out to be a tight 5 man race. Boyd - 17 votes Williams - 17 votes Brooks - 16 votes Shea - 16 votes Yeldin - 16 votes Next closest guys are: Orozco - 11 votes Chandler - 10 votes Agudelo - 10 votes
After 43 votes we are still locked up at 5 guys for 4 spots. If we don't get more votes then it looks like I might need one more pole. Should the new pole be a 5 man pole or include the 3 guys with 11 votes each? 5 GUY POLE: Boyd - 17 votes Shea - 17 votes Williams - 17 votes Brooks - 16 votes Yedlin - 16 votes ----------- or -------------- 8 GUY POLE: Boyd - 17 votes Shea - 17 votes Williams - 17 votes Brooks - 16 votes Yedlin - 16 votes Agudelu - 11 votes Chandler - 11 votes Orozco - 11 votes
When you mentioned a "5 guy Pole", I thought I was in BSMX for a second. I concur. I would love Garza to get a look. So much more promise than Beasley or Castillo, but I know it's not going to happen.
He was an unused sub in the Ukraine Friendly. He last played in the Austria loss, where he came on as a sub in the 66th minute
Thanks, I think the last I remember him playing was that missed clearance against Belgium or Germany.
After 2 polls and over 90 total votes we have narrowed in on 31. Currently there is a 2 way tie for 4th (the 30th spot) and Orozco is gaining ground as well.... hopefully with more votes we will narrow in on the final 30. If not then we might need one more poll. Defenders 10: Beasley Besler Cameron Evans Gonzalez Goodson F Johnson Parkhurst Brooks - 38.3% Yedlin - 36.2% Midfielders 10: Bedoya Bradley Beckerman Davis Diskerud Edu Jones Zusi Shea - 38.3% Williams - 36.2% Offense 8: Altidore Dempsey Donovan Johanssson E Johnson Green Wondowloski Boyd - 40.4% GK 3: Howard Guzan Rimando
We are currently at 48 votes. The race for the last 4 is still tight. Yedlin slipped a bit into 5th (31rst). Based on JKs information that he plans to bring 26 - 28 from the 30 man list then it seems Yedlin, Shea and Williams wont be in camp (based on this poll anyway). Hell, maybe even Brooks and Boyd don't go either. Defenders 10: Beasley Besler Cameron Evans Gonzalez Goodson F Johnson Parkhurst Brooks - 39.6% Yedlin - 35.4% Midfielders 10: Bedoya Bradley Beckerman Davis Diskerud Edu Jones Zusi Shea - 37.5% Williams - 37.5% Offense 8: Altidore Dempsey Donovan Johanssson E Johnson Green Wondowloski Boyd - 41.7% GK 3: Howard Guzan Rimando
After 50 votes Boyd & Brooks are pulling ahead a bit. It looks like a 3 way battle for the last 2 spots. Boyd - 44.2% Brooks -42.3% Shea - 36.5% Williams - 34.6% Yedlin - 34.6%
54 votes, Yedlin slipped into 5th: 27) Boyd - 46.3% - 25 votes 28) Brooks -42.6% - 23 votes 29) Shea - 35.2% - 19 votes 30) Williams - 35.2% - 19 votes 31) Yedlin - 33.3% - 18 votes 32) Chandler - 27.8% - 15 votes 33) Orocco - 25.9% - 14 votes 34) Agudelu - 22.2% - 12 votes
I am surprised to see him in the 30 too, but he isn't that popular. He is tied for the last roster spot in the 30. Also, if this is how JK rates the players this would mean Shea does not go to the 30 man camp.
Less than 2 weeks until the 30 are announced... 55 votes and another 3 way tie. 27) Boyd - 47.3% - 26 votes 28) Brooks -43.6% - 24 votes 29) Shea - 34.5% - 19 votes 30) Williams - 34.5% - 19 votes 31) Yedlin - 34.5% - 19 votes
