Lost 5-1 at home. Servette lower than lower agaisnt the last of the league. Two red cards etc... Zubermuller is seen as the guy who has zero psychology and has destroyed the ambiance. Just a gate mouth. I am close to believe it. Also the President will have to explain his choices. Everybody was happy wit the first tour setup. Why did he change again the staff?
I along with a good portion of the Servette supports would like some explanation. This has to be the 1st time that Servette lost to Wil and Wohlen by multiple scores, at home, in the same season. Vaduz - Biel 3-1 Servette - Wohlen 1-5 31 March Wil - Schaffhausen
31 March Wil - Schaffhausen 0-0 Vaduz 59 Wil 49 Schaffhausen 48 Servette 45 Lugano 40 Winterthur 38 Biel 29 Chiasso 21 Wohlen 20* Locarno 17*
The coach Aeby has been fired. After the shellacking received from Wohlen, there had to be a scapegoat: the short fuse triggered. Well Zubi is continuing to rule and conquer. More groaning from the fans. By the way, only 2'000 spectators Sunday. We are and more worrying that the club is brain dead under Zuberbuhler's iron fist. Quennec the President, with his Colgate smile, says that all is planned, that all is ok and that the project is going on. What project? The only positive point that fans recognize is that he was there to avoid the bankruptcy, but since nothing lasted more than a couple of months.... Four coaches within less than two years. Three general managers, several sport directors etc.
Had to see Aeby going. The only thing that I could see positive out of this is that Servette figures out who will be important next season and they shed quite a few players who are no longer needed. Bring in a few quality players to strengthen the squad and move forward. One good thing as well, the players who are leaving Servette for greener pastures are not leaving for other BCL teams. When/If that starts happening, we know that the end is near.
5 April Locarno - Servette I have no idea which Servette will show up for this match. Wohlen - Wil 6 April Biel - Lugano Chiasso - Vaduz 7 April Schaffhausen - Winterthur
The Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde Servette squad won today at Locarno 0-1. Roux scored again in the 74' min. Wil and Wohlen was 2-2 with Wohlen coming from behind twice to earn 4 very valuable points in their past two matches in their efforts to avoid the drop to 1st League Promotion.
Servette played with a lot of U21. It looks like a good achievement, however against Locarno which is a very weak team also playing with a lot of U21: they lead with great comfort the U21 trophy that counts the minutes played by U21. Servette is only 8th. So let's say they grabbed the opportunity to continue to promote the project Youth. Let's see the results against more seasoned teams....
7 April Schaffhausen - Winterthur 2-0 9 April Locarno - Wohlen 2-0 Vaduz - 62 Schaffhausen 51 Wil 50 Servette 48 Lugano 43 Winterthur 38 Biel 29 Chiasso 21 Wohlen 21 Locarno 20
Yes indeed. I was going to report it (congrats' you beat me...). When I learnt last year that he was leaving the MLS, I thought he could be a good prospect for Servette. Well let's see the life expectancy of the rumour!
12 April Wil - Lugano Wohlen - Biel 13 April Vaduz - Winterthur Schaffhausen - Servette 14 April Chiasso - Locarno
12 April Wil - Lugano 0-1 Wohlen - Biel 0-3 13 April Vaduz - Winterthur 3-2 Schaffhausen - Servette 3-0 14 April Chiasso - Locarno 4-1 Huge win for Chiasso as they could distance themselves from Locarno and the drop. Servette looses, not to surprising. Vaduz would need to have a massive collapse not to win promotion this year. I would hope that Servette would feel the need to push for 3rd place, but I do not think that they care too much about that this year. Vaduz 65 Schaffhausen 54 Wil 50 Servette 48 Lugano 46 Winterthur 38 Biel 32 Chiasso 24 Wohlen 21 Locarno 20
17 April Biel - Schaffhausen Locarno - Vaduz Lugano - Wohlen Servette - Chiasso Winterthur - Wil Top 5 all play the bottom 5.
Everybody is bored. Fed up with the perennial instability. Plus the fact that we do not understand how they manage the team with the banned, less banned and cr*p first choices recruited by Zuberbuhler. They will play Chiasso with a lot of injured players, compounded by the fact that the usual U21 played with the national team today. The joke here is that they will have to recall the banned players. How many people will attend the match? Less than 2'000? Last draw on the camel's back: the league did not grant them the license.... They will apply for the 2nd instance. Difficult to be a "football romand" fan these days, especially a Servette one.
I had not heard that yet. Anyone else? This season can not end quick enough for this Servette fan. The only good thing that I can see for the Spring is getting some playing time for the more promising youth players.
FC Locarno and Servette (as noted) have been denied their license. FC Köniz, FC Le Mont LS and SC YF Juventus ZH were as well. Etoile Carouge received theirs.
17 April Biel - Schaffhausen 1-2 Locarno - Vaduz 1-1 Lugano - Wohlen 2-1 Servette - Chiasso 1-1 Winterthur - Wil 0-0 Vaduz 66 Schaffhausen 57 Wil 51 Servette 49 Lugano 49 Winterthur 39 Biel 32 Chiasso 25 Wohlen 21 Locarno 21
Servette has come out and said that Mario Cantaluppi and Jose Sinval will be co-managers until the end of the season. So the Schallibaum as manager is out at least until the Summer.
26 April Chiasso - Schaffhausen Winterthur - Lugano 27 April Wil - Biel Wohlen - Locarno 28 April Vaduz - Servette 6 matches to go. Vaduz could take a large step to cementing promotion.
26 April Chiasso - Schaffhausen 2-0 Winterthur - Lugano 0-1 27 April Wil - Biel 5-4 Wohlen - Locarno 3-0 28 April Vaduz - Servette Vaduz could go 12 points clear if they defeat Servette today. The bottom of the table is going to be interesting to see between Wohlen and Locarno.
Vaduz - Servette 2-0 the match was played in a rainstorm. Vaduz missed a PK, but it was obvious that Servette has really given up on trying to win the title, they continue to use younger players to see what they will have next season.
