I have more confidence in the fat bastard that plays on my 6 a side team than I have in Patricio.

I have a feeling that Postiga is gonna be huge for us esp if Quaresma gets into the squad which he will the service he is gonna get now

I didn't see the Benfica x Porto game today but I saw the goals.

Golacos by Varela and Andre Gomes.

What is the consensus about Gomes? Obviously he's an exciting prospect. 6'2'' midfielder, 2-footed, strong as hell, good tackler. And, technically, let's just say Fernando is still looking for that ball... :)
Is on the bubble for the "convocados"? No, right? Too young? Just curious...

In any case, exciting to see young talent like this rising through the ranks. I'm starting to see why some here are optimistic about the future of the NT. It will make it a little easier to watch the WC come June... :)

On the theme of preparations for Brasil 2014, looks like our defenders are starting to get into Neymar's head... I know Pepe is scary but man Neymar's reaction is amazing. funniest sh8t I've seen in a while:

Was Fabio trying to stick his finger in his mouth? The reaction towards Pepe is great. He must have bullied Neymar in the past ;)

If I was Neymar, I'd be more scared of Coentrao.
He's from the Caxinas and you don't fuc k with people from Caxinas.

Terrible performance against PSG by Anthony Lopes so far.

Nani looked like he was running underwater...no acceleration...I'm officially worried.

Bruma, why did you have to get injured?!

Varela is average, and Quaresma is a headcase.

Eder just scored a fantastic goal for Braga against Setubal.

Even if he isn't 100% yet, I'd still take him over someone like Edinho any day. If we bring 3 strikers, I think I'd bring Eder. Still has a month and a half to get more fit and sharper.
Before he got injured last season, he was the second leading scorer in the Portuguese league behind Jackson Martinez. And was being linked with clubs like Porto, Arsenal, Tottenham, Lazio, Roma...etc.

On the other hand it was only his third goal this season in 14 games.
Meanwhile Edinho has 9 goals in 11 games in one of shittiest teams in Turkey.

Edinho kind of reminds me of Makukula.
Not a great striker and was able to win the scoring championship in the Turkish league with over 2o goals a few years back.
Eder's been recovering from massive injuries, so rustiness is to be expected.

That's why I also mentioned the number of games. 3 goals in 14 games, and 11 of those 14 games were pre-injury, that's an awful ratio no matter how you look at it.

Pre and post injury. In the first matches, Edinho played instead of him, since he was still recovering from the previous long injury. The numbers were not good, but you have to consider the circumstances, not just the number of matches. Also, Braga wasn't nearly as good as last year.

I did not see the same Eder this year in any game as the one from last year. I trust Postiga more then this Eder.

I don't want Bento to take Éder too. But I am hopeful Éder will step up in future seasons and become our next striker.

Has anyone been following Nelson Oliveira? Has he matured in the slightest yet?

Ronaldo looked so awkward...he's obviously not 100% and his hamstring is still hampering him.

    Officially worried.

I've been worried since it was first announced 2-3 weeks ago.
Not to mention Pepe asked to come off too. #very worried.
    Gnashing of teeth time...

On the other hand, Coentrao has been playing better and better in recent weeks. Let's hope he keeps peaking for the next few weeks!
