I would be more interested in eventually building up my trophy cabinet as a club than being concerned if we are bringing in more money than them.
Nasser did an interview with L'Equipe. They mentioned Hazard and Pogba to him and didnt seem like he wanted to stir anything up but wouldnt close the door on them either. Said they are happy about being in the top 5 richest clubs but want to get into the top 3. They ask him about Messi and he praises him and makes a joke about the media sending him to Paris.
Beckham asking QSI for funding for his MLS team http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1710757/david-beckham-ask-psg-mls-funding?cc=5901
I personally think soccer in Miami would be huge. A large South American population who loves soccer, as well as soccer being trendy in America, says to me that this will be a big success and a great investment opportunity for QSI.
MLS IS ALL OVER THE PLACE too many clubs they need a lower division badly and they need promoted relegated system like Europe, Salary caps are lame and stupid and un-American
Except every sports league in America has a salary cap. MLS cannot support a Promotion/Relegation system yet because they don't have a proper 2nd division (USL/NASL?) and because they don't know how these teams will fair financially afloat. Theres bigger problems here than just that m8.
Eager to see Cabaye in CL. He was one of my favourite players in premeirship. Put newcastle in a good position from surviving relegation. they really miss him- he is good hardworking all round midfielder.
Their finances are healthy and they are Franchises not open-market. MLS has worked very hard on independent stadiums and that ideology and business philosophy would be compromised if you allowed clubs with different business structures to enter the mix.
salary caps do seem un-american, and in general, as paradoxical as it may seem, professional sports in the US smacks of... socialism! but the whole structure is so radically different, and has been from the very beginning, that it's impossible to compare the two. or really even for the two systems to borrow ideas from each other. in the USA boards the debate about promotion/relegation for the MLS has always been a big subject, as are questions/suggestions concerning salary caps in europe. but neither idea is transplantable. idem for the question to playoff or not to playoff. i've been very fond of the european way of doing things, but the quantum leap in investment european football has seen in the last 10 or so years is creating problems that american leagues solved long ago. those self-imposed limits mean that the MLS will not be able to compete with the 20 or so "big" clubs in europe for talent for a long while, and the level of play in the absolute the will remain inferior, but its sucess as a product can no longer be disputed. the final proof is the constant growth in attendance, very close to and sometimes even superior to that of L1; not bad considering it can only be considered the nation's fifth sport!
I hope Man U really isnt considering Blanc because they could have had him before he signed with PSG and they passed.
Blanc extended. Also, Pauleta "Aulas is a liar." http://www.goal.com/fr/news/1729/france/2014/05/07/4801447/psg-pauleta-traite-aulas-de-menteur
Thats weird. I knew they still played shows together but had no idea they play in Europe. I had to google the venue they played at and its less than 2,000 seats so yeah not really a big deal.
Did Alex not get picked for the Brazil WC squad. They didnt want 3 PSG defenders so they picked Maxwell over him ?
Cuz Alex isn't better than TS, David Luiz, Dante and Henrique (this I don't get), but the first three is more than understandable cuz its true, but imo the 4th CB spot should've gone to Miranda. Who again is well above Alex.
