It begins in May , with the CFU or Caribbean qualifiers. According to Wikipedia , 3 nations of the Caribbean , 2 from Central America , together with Canada, USA and Mexico will play in the final round in Mexico in October . The only doubt is about Canada . Canada is host of the WWC 2015. Canada has a game scheduled in Octuber. Maybe they will participate in this tournament with an U-20 team. Here are the Groups : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_CONCACAF_Women's_Championship_qualification
Don't trust Wikipedia. The article cited says nothing directly about Canada participating, and if you think about it, it doesn't make sense for Canada to participate as Canada is already qualified for the WWC. USA didn't participate before WWC99.
Without Canada, there will be only 7 teams : Mexico, USA 3 CFU 2 UNCAF In the CFU and UNCAF pages it refers 2 nations from CFU and 2 from UNCAF..... Not only Wikipedia . Maybe later CONCACAF organizes a playoff between the CFU fourth and the UNCAF third for the final spot
But this is first and foremost the CONCACAF championship and only secondary serves as a qualifying tournament for the WWC. So it does make sense for Canada to take part, especially considering they're the title holders. Unless of course the competition has such a low reputation that Canada only see it as a hassle to participate there when qualifying isn't at stake. Edit: Wait, nevermind. CONCACAF themselves simply call this tournament "Women's World Cup Qualifying". So apparently it's not the CONCACAF equivalent to the EUROs.
Ah, I never said Canada wouldn't participate, just that I haven't seen anything confirming their participation. If the CFU and UNCAF sites are already saying 3 and 2 nations respectively, I guess that would imply Canada is participating, but I find that kinda weird... =edit= Gah! 'd
Canada will participate, because it's not just the World Cup qualifying, but it's also the Concacaf Gold Cup.
Thing is, as Lusankya discovered, it's no longer the Women's Gold Cup - the competition under that name was disbanded, as was announced (I think) about a year ago . Now it's just the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying, so there's no saying what the format will be as of yet. All I can find right now that says exactly what's going on are two articles describing the first and second stages of the CFU tournament, though neither actually says how many teams will move on from the second stage to to main CONCACAF tournament.
Hopefully at least 8 without Canada. I'd like to see Press rack up some stats; maybe even a 20+ to 0 game
CONCACAF isn't good enough, or big enough in # of countries to have an equivalent to the EURO tournament. That would be a laugh if they started a tournament like that, and USA had to beat Bermuda and Barbados in the qualifying stage just to qualify to get in to the 12-team final CONCACAF tournament, and then USA had to face Nicaragua in their first group match. Mehhh.

That is correct. If it were the CONCACAF equivalent of the Euros all teams would be in it. The UEFA. doesn't always have qualifiers and sometimes leaves its best teams, like Germany, home.
You mean these scores? http://www.concacaf.com/article/honduras-guatemala-el-salvador-post-wwcq-wins Seems quicker than the USSF sometimes manages.
Yep, posted about 1 hour ago (though heaven forbid we should get a match report). They did tweet out the scores yesterday, but didn't have anything else on their site (though FIFA.com did).

Question given that Canada is hosting the WC does that mean they can't participate in the Women's championship?
No-one has found that out for sure, one way or the other, yet. It currently sounds like there will be three island teams and two land bridge teams joining the finals, which would suggest all three of the largest CONCACAF nations will take part in the finals as well. Which is odd, as the United States didn't participate in the championship ahead of their 1999 WC.

it sad that no one knows whether Canada will be participating in the finals. There's no need for them to participate. The should simply have 4 Caribbean teams enter the finals, plus the two from UNCAF & USA & Mexico.
