It's one thing to say 'hey look at the idiot standing next to the oncoming train', but quite another to do something to make the idiot lose his balance right next to the oncoming train. I guess it's supposed to be a funny story of karma or something, but holy crap that was dangerous. It's not like he was kicking him away from the tracks; the guy hooked his head from the outside and pulled him towards many tons of fast-moving metal.
i've seen some people say that the conductor may have actually saved the kid's life. they point out the beam of metal just to the right of the guy's leg that's sticking out from the train. i haven't followed up (because i don't care) to see if that's been debunked as an optical illusion of the image, but if true, then the conductor may have actually been trying to save the kid's life, not teach him a lesson. in either scenario, i applaud the guy.
Apparently selfies and trains do not mix well. And stupidity jumps across the pond. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/teen-plunges-30ft-death-after-3442466
natural selection has its own way of cleansing the gene pool. I'm just waiting for a new Internet phenomenon to start called "plunking" (i.e. plunging to one's death while planking)...
"Selfies" have been around for years and years. Only the word "selfie" is pretty new. I'd like to find whomever popularized the word "selfie" and take them out back and beat them over the head with a wiffle ball bat.
is everything becoming a reason to give full reign to our own narcissism in this brave new world?? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/20/martial-law-selfies_n_5357360.html
I think it's anchored to the vehicle just behind the guy's head and back. but it does look like it's floating at first glance.
Not only does she not have a protective cover on the phone, she's glued a candy easter bunny to it. What do you expect?
OK you got me beat there. I don't suppose there's any chance that Ha Mez is interested in playing for Chicago Fire, is there? Our guys could use the help ..
