    Even with Talisca dropping numerous great passes Bahia seems so unlikely to score.

    Doria needed to be better on the first 2 goals.

    Yeah, but Pato played a good ball on the second goal. He essentially has 2 assists this game. Played good balls for the second and third goals.

    Every single Cartola point he got he deserved. I'm getting my ass kicked in Cartola. I had Regis and Bregson.

    Nice start by SPFC - Pato and Ganso with good teamwork. A 3-0 is always welcome, but it's only the first match in a very long tournament. And in 7 days, SPFC visits last year's champion, Cruzeiro, in Belo Horizonte. That'll be a far tougher test.

    Rumor has it that Enderson will get axed if he gets a bad result on Wednesday.

    Wouldn't be the best thing, IMO. Wednesday's fixture is an away Libertadores match, and these games are not easy to win. Although it is the defending Argentine champion, San Lorenzo, at least on paper, isn't the toughest opponent - they're on a 3-game winless streak, having lost by 1-4 to Lanús and gone 0-0 in the past two games. They'll press Grêmio, but Grêmio has shown in this Copa it can compete against the big boys.

    I'm personally opposed to the "fire the coach once a few bad results happen" mentality. Enderson Moreira isn't Pep Guardiola, but he's done a decent job in 2014, and it's only the 1-4 defeat to Internacional and yesterday's loss to Atl.-PR that have cast doubts on his work.

    Santos fans need to realize most of gabriels gols/good chances come because of Damiao.

    What some people in Brazil call "chato" people in other countries may call "routine," "standard procedure," "quality assurance," "being proactive," or simply "getting things done." Seedorf may well have been bossy, but as a European footballer accustomed to UEFA's professionalism, the jeitinho style in Brazil most probably didn't sit well with him.

    It's interesting to read what some of the comments say. Many point out that with Seedorf, Botafogo won the Rio de Janeiro state tournament and secured a Libertadores berth. Had he not retired, it doesn't guarantee Botafogo would've won this year's Carioca or that it would still be in the Libertadores, but he definitely made things better.

    no. You are also forgetting the 2-1 loss to Internacional playing AT HOME, the bad bad game against Nacional Montevideo at Grêmio Arena, the bad game against Brazil Pelotas, as well as some lucky wins where Marcelo Grohe was the best in the pitch for defending multiple shot.

    Voadora?

    Boa sorte amanhã, meu; teu time já fez estragos na Argentina (2-1 contra o River Plate em 2002 pra depois ganhar de 4 a 0 em casa), mas jogar lá nunca é facil. Parece que o Luan vai jogar, e se vocês marcarem um gol, semana que vem acho que dá, sim.

    Criciuma did get robbed out of that penalty but I can't even complain because they needed to be better. They were up 1 to 0 for a good portion of the match and created chance after chance but couldn't finish. Also Escudero may be the worse player in the Brasileirao.

    Botafogo were awful too, particularly Dória. Be interesting to see how both teams play this week. Both have reasonably tough games again. Though I think Botafogo will make every game tough this season.

    For the Ney Franco supporters, his 2014 resume:

    - Eliminado da Copa do Nordeste após perder por 5x1 para o Ceará;
    - vice campeão estadual;
    - eliminado na 1ª fase da Copa do Brasil.

    Why does the Serra Dourada have such a bad image? Ponte players were complaining about the pitch always being bad and that the pitch is abnormally wide.
