his decision making is very poor. I think he has the talent but his frittering the ball away either by running into defenders or waiting too long to pass (albeit flaws that are shared by Son just in a more attacking position) is just so frustrating.

yea, i agree but he's 20. he's still maturing as a player & he didn't play his natural/preferred/settled position like Son this season. CB, LB, LW, CM, DM.. played on the right on some occasion..

Yeah. Not ideal but he has had a number of minutes to try to at least improve his desire to run past three defenders.

Wasn't pretty but I'll take it

i thought he did well to dribble up the pitch.. his final pass was disappointing. his shot was disappointing but he did a lot of good in that play.

There were a few easier routes there.

And Son with a good move and so-so shot

yea, but he had open space in front of him too...

anyways, Castro continues to disappoint. I'm hoping RSW to get on but I'm sure it will be Rolfes.

argh... brandt almost sneaks through ball for son...

and again (not brandt). waited too long to set Son free who was wide open

EDIT: and Son getting frustrated with the service

Yep. Kiessling wasn't offside either and had delivered a great ball for Son.... oh well.

EDIT: looks back on left but its more like 2 on top right now

Eek. Son shows good control and his shot is just tipped wide though refs didn't see it

SHM with a great selfless assist passing up the one-on-one opportunity.

Would have been highlight reel worthy if he finished it himself and I wish he'd done that, but watching that again, if he had shot it there it would have been with his left foot, and looking at the timing and the angle of the keeper/defenders, etc, may have been a bit tricky to go for the shot... so perhaps a good decision to pass after all.
