Friday, in the "rural" stadium of FC Bourg-Péronnas, we did draw 1-1 against a solid local team. We played an excellent end of first half, but we didn't confirmed in second half. FCBP scored at 71' (Boussaha), on a defensive mistake. Laborde (as usual) equalized at 87'. Ludovic Fardin played also a very good game.

The team: Planté - Marie, Cros, Allegro (cap), Ielsch - Fardin, Makhedjouf, Lafon, Castro, Laborde - Lefaix.
Subs: Lee for Lafon (61'), Sidibé for Castro (67'), Tulasne for Makhedjouf (81').

    Rodrigo Castro:

Solid homewin friday against Le Poiré sur Vie (2-1).
We dominated globally all the game, and in the same time Gazélec lost in Boulogne, so we're again 4 points to the 3rd place.
Lefaix scored at 37', with an assist by Laborde, who scored the second goal at 55'. Le Poiré scored at 89' by Lusinga.
Bobby Allain substituted Planté as goalkeeper (Planté is out for 3 weeks), he saved us in injury time with a magnificent parade.

The team: Allain - Marie, Allegro (cap), Cros, Ielsch - Fardin, Makhedjouf, Laborde, Tulasne, Lee - Lefaix.
Subs: Lafon for Lee (77'), Sidibé for Tulasne (82').

Laborde and Lefaix on the first goal:

Avec la Mer du Nord, pour dernier terrain vague...
We lost 2-0 last friday, in the northernmost away game, against USL Dunkerque. Our players don't have a chance, one of our poorest game of this season. Maybe it's because they wore the damned Cup jerseys...
Oumarou Diaby shoted once and it's all... They ate too much frites.

The drunk team: Allain - Marie, Cros, Allegro (cap), Ielsch - Fardin, Makhedjouf, Tulasne, Laborde, Lee - Lefaix.
Subs: Lafon for Tulasne (56'), Diaby for Lee (61'), Antunes for Ielsch (75')

Laborde (with the ball) and Makhedjouf

Next game: 04.25 at home against Colomiers !

Red Star FC vs US Colomiers 1-0. Ouf !
After a game dominated by Colomiers, we obtain the 3 points of victory, and we're 5 points behind Gazélec.
The hero of the evening is Vincent Planté the keeper: 4 great stops, and a penalty kick stopped in first half.
USC played better than us, but efficiency was with us, and Gaëtan Laborde scored at 47'. There were two goal chances at the end, one for Lee and one for Diaby.

The team: Planté - Marie, Allegro (cap), Cros, Ielsch - Fardin, Castro, Makhedjouf, Laborde, Lee - Lefaix
Subs: Diaby for Lee (82'), Antunes for Castro (85'), Tulasne for Lefaix (92')

Vincent Planté played a fantastic game friday: he stopped a PK

And a good news, three players will stay at Red Star next season: Samuel Allegro, Ludovic Fardin and Pierrick Cros

The next game will be a final: we'll play in Gazélec Ajaccio !

Hey did you see this ? Red Star got a mention/plug from the former Marseille president.

    http://www.footmarseille.com/news-23008/diouf-sceptique-concernant-bielsa.html

I understand the point he was making but out of all the smaller clubs to mention he mentioned Red Star. Maybe a sign he gets involved with that club in the future. There were rumors of him getting involved with another Paris club in the past.

It means nothing, Diouf speaks with his ass. He should simply talk abouth his club of assholes rather than talk about a club he doesn't knows.
And we don't care about Mourinho, we have Sébastien Robert !

Yesterday we surely missed the promotion, we lost in Gazélec Ajaccio (2-1), with the worst refereeing of the season.
We dominated the second half, with a goal by Yongjae Lee (58').

Planté - Marie, Aleegro (cap), Cros, Ielsch - Fardin, Makhedjouf, Castro, Lee, Laborde - Lefaix.
Subs: Tulasne for Makhedjouf (80'), Lafon for Castro (80').

Next game: 05.09 in Uzès !

I was hoping you guys would win. I dont want to bash the other team but they bring nothing to French football and French Football needs Red Star to be pro. Oh well.

End of season, we lost in Uzès o_O 2-1.
Our team is tired, physically and psychologically. They made an incredible season since october.
Of course, our scorer was Gaëtan Laborde, he'll play for French national youth team at Toulon Cup, in may
So the home game against Fréjus will be his last with Red Star !

Team: Planté - Marie, Allegro (cap), Cros, Ielsch - Fardin, Sidibé, Cissé, Orsatonni, Laborde - Lefaix.
Subs: Makhedjouf fot Orsatonni (67'), Durbant for Sidibé (67'), Antunes for Fardin (84').

    Next game: 05.16 against Fréjus St-Raphaël !

Laborde got a call up to the French side for Toulon. I'll admit I haven't seen him play, but he seems to be an interesting prospect off those goals anyway... :)

    ...What ??

For next season, the team begins to appear: our GK Vincent Planté wants to continue at RSFC next season. For defence, Samuel Allegro and Pierrick Cros extended their contracts, Romuald Marie and Julien Ielsch have two years contracts, so they'll stay next season.
For miedfield, Ludovic Fardin extended his contract :), and Florian Makhedjouf wants to continue with us. The prodigious Gaëtan Laborde will returns at Bordeaux (loan return), like Rodrigo Castro. I don't think Djibril Sidibé will stay, like Geoffrey Tulasne, Jean-Michel Orsattoni and Anthony Ricca.
For attack, Kévin Lefaix will be still at RSFC next season, Oumarou Diaby will returns to Créteil, and we don't know about Lee.

Hey keeper, how much you cost ?
For our last homegame of the season, 0-0 against Fréjus/St-Raphaël Gamblers FC (who's actually involved in match fixing, against Colomiers, a home defeat 1-4 and a betting website which is illegal in France).
Nothing special about the game, little frustration after, but there's good news: Vincent Planté and Florian Makhedjouf extended their contracts with RS.

Team: Planté - Marie, Allegro (cap), Cros, Ielsch - Sidibé, Makhedjouf, Cissé, Laborde, Lee - Lefaix.
Subs: Ricca for Sidibé (81'), Durbant for Lee (81'), Antunes for Cissé (90').

    The flight of fat eagle:

Lefaix, Laborde, Allain, Marie, and Cissé:

Other National teams news: Strasbourg, Vannes and Uzès are now relegated in CFA... The last place for Colomiers or Boulogne... But Carquefou may stop to play in National (financial problems), so there is still a chance for Strasbourg.
Next season, our three Ligue 2 relegation side: Châteauroux, Istres and CA Bastia.

Next game: 05.23 in Strasbourg !

Last season game: with a B-team, we drawed 2-2 in Strasbourg. Kévin Lefaix scored twice, on penalty kicks, given by Yongjae Lee.

The team: Allain - Marie, Allegro (cap), Kamissoko, Ielsch - Makhedjouf, Fardin, Cissé, Durbant, Lee - Lefaix.
Subs: Antunes for Cissé (65'), Kasongo for Durbant (75'), Ricca for Ielsch (81').

We finished 7th with 48 pts; the 3 promoted teams in Ligue 2 are Orléans, Luzenac and Gazélec Ajaccio; the 4 relegated teams in CFA are Colomiers, Strasbourg, Vannes and Uzès. The 3 relegated from Ligue 2 teams are Châteauroux, Istres and CA Bastia. The 4 promoted from CFA teams are Avranches, Chambly, Epinal and Marseille Consolat.
But Carquefou (8th) won't play in National, because of financial troubles. So Colomiers should be saved.

Renewed players: goalkeepers Vincent Planté and Bobby Allain; defenders Samuel Allegro, Julien Ielsch, Pierick Cros and Romuald Marie; midfielders Ludovic Fardin, Florian Makhedjouf and Rodrigo Castro; forward Kévin Lefaix.
Departures: Gaëtan Laborde (loan return in Bordeaux), Oumarou Diaby (loan return in Créteil), Alexis Lafon, Geoffray Durbant, Anthony Ricca, Jean-Michel Orsattoni, Fabien Antunes and Karim Ben Amor will try to find an other club.

    Better than season: interseason !

Some news of the lower depths of French football: DNCG (financial authorities for football) cancels promotion in L2 for US Orléans and Luzenac AP. But don't worry, there is appeal.
Vannes OC, sportingly relegated in CFA, files for bankruptcy. They'll play in DH, AS Cherbourg is saved in CFA, and Olympique Noisy le Sec (93 team !) is saved in CFA2.

Rumors of RSFC recruitment: Massiré Kanté, defensive midfielder from CA Bastia (2 games in L2 this season), and ex-Le Mans FC (29 games/4 goals in L2). Kamel Larbi, forward from EFC Fréjus St-Raphaël (27 games/5 goals in National this season), ex-ES Uzès (35 games/6 goals in National). And Mouaad Madri, forward from USL Dunkerque (23 games/11 goals in National this season).

Patrick Trotigno, former president of Evian Thonon-Gaillard joined Paris FC. Big boost to get a guy with Ligue 1 experience in charge. Looks like they are also moving back to Charléty next year. I know you hate this club and they have no fans but you are still competing with them to be the 3rd professional Paris area club and looks like they are serious about mounting a promotion attempt. I hope they and Red Star both get there. Hopefully then the fans will come.

Nobody cares about a second club in Paris. There is NO football culture in Paris.
Actually, they "support" PSG because they are champions and they win everytime; but some years ago, when they had a shitty team who struggle to maintain, PSG reputation was "club of beauf". Now they're winning, so it's the hype to support PSG, and there is thousands of f**** plastic-fans.

Paris FC: since 2006 they aim for L2 and second Paris pro club. They'll never have the fans, because of lack of football culture in Paris.
Honestly, I'm sad for them. And I'm sad too for Créteil, for ESSG, for Ivry, for Aubervilliers, for Mantes, and for US ! There's no possibility to make an other great club in Paris area :(

Still if Red Star was in Ligue 2 there's no doubt they would have better attendance than the last time they were there. Creteil averaged 2,603 in their first year back in L2. Red Star in L2 can do better than that.

    You are very optimistic !
Créteil averaged 2603, but it's poor for a city with a population of 90 000, in a department (Val de Marne) of 1 300 000 peoples.
Red Star in L2, I hope we will average 4000 or 5000. Saint Ouen has a population of 47 000, and Seine Saint Denis department has 1 500 000. Vast majority don't care about local club, they just "support" the winner.

I have to be optimistic about anything French football related otherwise posting here wouldnt be that enjoyable. Yeah of course the chances of Paris FC becoming pro and getting good crowds is slim but you have to hope and believe. I think wealthy foriegn investors would be chomping at the bit to invest in another Paris soccer team and thats where the optimisim comes from. I'd rather Racing-Colombes become pro over PFC and play at the new stadium in Nanterre La Défense but they are so far away in the DH. Them becoming pro is something Im NOT optimistic about since DH is so far down the ladder.

Some RSFC news: Geoffrey Tulasne, after one and half disappointing season, leaves the club. And Jordan Fauqué, who was in trial at RSFC, will play at Rodez AF (CFA).

Geoffrey "Shwarzkopf" Tulasne will try to find an new club for next season:

Some National news: USJA Carquefou leaves National and will play next season in DH ! So, US Colomiers is saved in National, JA Drancy (an other 93 team) is saved in CFA, and Aviron Bayonnais is saved in CFA2.
Three players of RS second reserve team leaves for US Raon (CFA): goalkeeper Kévin Mokando, his brother the midfielder Jean-Yves Mokando, and defender Ismaïn Aït-Mesanis.

We'll play two friendly games against Ligue 2 sides in July:
-07.16 against Stade Lavallois in Evron
-07.25 against AJ Auxerre, in Auxerre :)
