Possibly the most important victory in the season, and it was also an away match.
Next 3 matches are tough so I wouldn't say that the 5th place is locked at all

He needs to move on his defensive instinct more imo. He was partly at fault for the goal conceded.

Sry, forgot to put ALMOST. Yep, knew that he didn't conceded any goals but not a very good performance still imo.

    GdS give him rate 6.
Inter fans give him rate 0.
    Typical.

Question: has nagatomo gone faster or slower since last world cup? and if so, by how much?

his speed was lethal and his wingback style of play i.e running all the way from the back and slotting an accurate cross was lethal, and made him a great asset for the JNT.

Please stop making these generic question. I don't think his speed changed.

i always like to think of a contingency plan for the worst case scenario.

who will replace nagatomo at WC2014 if he gets injured?

sorry for asking this. it will keep my mind at peace knowing japan will have good chance at the world cup even if bad things happens

well then you could use the NT thread =)
anyway, I think Gotoku is his sub currently, but it would be better to wait for the final roster or the friendlies in june to see if Inoha will be there or who will replace him.

Side backs is one position where Japan has an abundance of players who can do at least a solid job. Starting with the Sakai's and Komano, Inoha, Tokunaga even. Sure Nagatomo is best, but most of the other names can play in his position and not be a liability.

yep now it's good. He even says himself that he refused interviews like that before because he didn't feel ok with the language.
