If anyone comes by anything about Konno's injury info would be appreciated.

btw, that's said for Inui but probably Haraguchi should replace him in the WC squad...

I worry for Konno too (I'm fed up with these ********ing injuries : Uchida, Hasebe, Yoshida, Honda, Konno, it's clearly enough !)

About Inui's spot, I like Minamino but my dream would be Usami :D
Seriously, I still can't believe that this guy is overrated. I believe in him.

Who knows if Morishige would be doing a better work than the actual Konno...

What about Toyoda? Even Okubo, yeah he is getting old but no one can deny he is a goalscoring machine. And have been so for a while now.

If both Konno and Yoshida is injured, who will partner Morishige?

Damn, really weird timing for some many players to get injured at the same time. I honestly think that Yamashita and Yoshida can be a good partnership since Yamashita is fast and both of them have never played together before.

Zac will send Konno out there even if he had one leg.

Too short. And does he have the ability to score goals from headers in set-pieces?

He can but not a good one. Not really, just that his weaknesses as a CB due to his height, etc. is not being covered by his strengths. If you are small, then you should have positive traits like positioning, speed, etc. to cover up for it but Konno can't. He don't really read the game well imo, his intercepting skills aren't that good, he plays more like a DM than a CB. He is no Puyol or Cannavaro imo.

Gordon was away that's why he's talking about already discussed stuff.

However I agree with him especially in a competition like WC.

Hello Japanese friends,I was wondering if Aria Jasuru Hasegawa from Cerezo Osaka is invited for the Japanese National Team? I could't find anything on the internet. He was rumored to play for Iran for a while since he is half Japanese - half Iranian, but some other sources say he rejected an invitation for Iran. Can anyone lighten up?

He went to a Japan NT camp (3 days, no matches) earlier in April. I don't think it was reported anywhere that Aria rejected anything, and he's still eligible to suit up for either country.

Thanks for the information! Very much appreciated. I wonder which country he will choose eventually. I would't surprised if he picks Japan because he is born and raised there.Would he be a good player for Japan at all? How do people in Japan think about Hasegawa?

Not right now. Maybe next WC cycle he could break through if he moves to Europe or continues to develop naturally, but there are currently 6 or 7 guys ahead of him in the pecking order.

Aria has an interesting combination of technique, size and versatility (plays every MF position), so I wouldn't rule out any future callups.

Yes that's what I was thinking too, Japans NT midfield is heavily crowded and with players like Honda I think it will be very hard for him to get a starting spot. Let's see how this case develops! I tried to watch some games from Aria but unfortunately I could't find any live coverage of Cerezo Osaka and the J-League in general.

There are links on wiziwig, and also a guide on streaming J-League matches pinned in the Japanese Club Football subforum. If you drop by the J1 thread on matchday a few members will be around to help you out.
