From what I've heard, the problem isn't Poyet (they like him). I suspect the problem is that some of the players are just there for the paycheck.

Watching the PSG-Lyon in the French League final. PSG winning 2-1 ( Cavani 2 goals, Lacazette for OL). Entertaining game so far.
Something pretty new in a football game, the referee is miked up. Interesting and sometimes funny exchanges between the ref and the players.

Yaya is my fav. he's 30, so he's going to say dumb stuff about stuff beyond his job. the trouble with young people from weak, unwealthy countries is that they're going to say dumb stuff about more noteworthy, politically contentious stuff than most youngsters from strong, wealthy countries talk about.

    Messi > Toure

Africa's cumulative GDP is pathetic - even including North Af countries rich in oil, phosphorous, uranium etc - and was pathetic even during the commodities boom of the last few years

what a stupid thing to be concerned about. upside he makes a handful of people wealthier, downside a bunch of resentful nonblack eyes hear whining and conceptually squishy protest that makes them feel attacked re: an issue they don't control by a black man on TV.

for the last 30 years, right parties have capitalized on reactive white identity politics, as "Joe average" sees grievances from other colors and cultures as special and distinct, despite the fact that the problems are mostly economic and obviously Joe Average has benefited more from the emergent

white people react negatively, black people say "duh". these comments are +EV for the right, -EV for African people working in Europe, among others

    This.

The comprehending skills of some people here is a bit embarrassing, the point is how they performed in big games against title contenders like these 2 - not how they're playing overall this season.

They were not shit against Chelsea and City away.

(you know, the 2 teams who scored in total 12 goals in 2 games against us).

    Can you comprehend that?

2 games aren't a season. Nor are 3, 4 or whatever number you want to arbitrarily choose that make Arsenal look bad.

And get off of your idiotic high horse. You were the one who questioned the reading comprehension of those who disagreed with you. I called you out on it, and now you want to act like I've insulted you? Spare me.

Again, we get that those small handful of games (for me it was only the Anfield and Stamford Bridge games, really, but ymmv) were hideous. Embarrassing, even. We were all sick over those results. But ffs get a little perspective.

Well it looks like AW is going to re-sign the new contract, per all the recent reports. So expect the polarization to continue between those who are happy with the fourth-place trophy and also expect more.
