Many people said similar things like that about Ji. He was almost never put into starting lineup for Sunderland but he did end up going to Dortmund. What I would hope is that he develops into a better player there under better coaches. I would hope he would become as successful as Schurrle is at Chelsea.

It seems Liverpool has been linked with every name in BL thanks to Rodgers supposed to trip to Germany at the beginning of the month, including Calhanoglu, Brandt, Volland and Son.

I wouldn't make anything out of it.

Is Schürrle successful at Chelsea? He's not exactly a regular starter there.

From what I heard, he is doing good (unless I'm listening to the wrong Chelsea fans). It's just that Mourinho plays him as a lone striker once in a while which does not fit him at all.

not much of a Chelsea fan but watching him he looked nothing too special....maybe he needs gel time. I'm sure Mourinho is a better judge of players than me.

I don't know what u guys consider a success but for his first season at chelsea he's contributed with the occasional good performance and crucial goals. So maybe not a success per se but definitely not a failure either

He's a rotation guy but that speaks more of the quality of depth at the attacking mid position at jose's disposal more than schurrle's ability. He's shown to be a mou kinda player with a high work rate and ability to score goals. Its a shame for him that hazard has his position locked up. I hope shm is as good as schurrle when he's 23.

I remember reading an article saying mourinho wanted schurrle to gain some more muscle.

i'm hoping RSW gets a chance today if Castro continues to disappoint as #10.

I think he will get a chance to play barring a very tight lead

i'm watching the sky bundesliga feed & you can see Toprak "mentoring" RSW in the background (or at least i would like to believe he is).

    Nurnberg score on weird fk

EDIT: Wish Son would get those FKs rather than castro...

EDIT2: Son tries the Bale move to mixed success.

    EDIT3: Boennisch you are terrible

EDIT4: Brandt shows his age there. And Kiessling should have done 100x better. Not sure what Son really wanted... tough to get the ball there

EDIT5: Son gets under the ball on FK

that must be like the 100th deep ball attempting to start counter today. and all have been severely overhit too

SHM was more or less anonymous in 1st half, Brandt showed inexperience, & Castro was frustrating.

can't watch this match anymore. to think that castro, bonehead, and can are starters says it all about the depth of this squad. toprak is having to bring the ball up due to this invisible midfield. hard to hate on the prepubescent brandt since he's doing great for a kid his age, but come on..

i don't get the hate on Can. he's 20...
played multiple position throughout this whole campaign & he has been solid. few moments of frustration but what did you expect from 20 yr old player? yes, he did over-hit few passes today but he had solid moments too.
