he surely will do better than Ranieri. He was kicked out because we lost that final against Once... So unfair. I mean His replacement Umaña was great but the process started under Comesaña

It's funny how Atletico Madrid is making it to the semi-finals of the champions league AND winning the league in Spain; wish that Falcao's third-party ownership never existed...

League wise, I knew they keep a top 3 spot. Champions League, I did not think that they would improve their discipline when they WASTED so many goals in the last 2 years. I have to say that I be impressed if they won the league and/or the CL.

Yeah, it made me think of when I wanted to meet Rene Higuita the same way.

I'm still a bit more pessimistic. I don't think Falcao should risk his knee over a few matches. His career could be over in an instant. Plus, it will take him a month or two to get back in good form. Sorry to be a party pooper, that's just my honest opinion.

noronha is a doctor, if he say that if he will be ready, is taking account that risks are minimun

One thing is when he will recover but he is lacking playing time...
I know Messi recovered and immediately scored, Robben played last world cup basically injured and still made a difference; but on the other hand you had Torres who recovered the injured and wasn't the same; Spain was lucky because they had freaking Xabiesta at their best level ever, we don't have that luxury plus like I been saying since day one, los otros no son mochos; we have good bench.

There is still a risk. Look at Zuniga, the doctors said he was ready and when he started training his knee didn't feel good.

About his form... Every time Falcao has been out for 3-4 weeks it has taken him time get back in form. Last november he was injured and when he came back he sucked, played really nervous and even missed a penalty. Same thing happened at Atletico in 2013. Took him a month to get back in form. It has always taken him a few weeks to play well again. And now he has been out for 5 months. It's going to be even worse.

    1. Of course things could go well and that's what I'm hoping for. But this is also a valid opinion: http://www.golcaracol.com/seleccion...de-ser-peligroso-para-su-carrera-diego-osorio

    2. I know one penalty is a bad example but he even took the penalty differently than he normally does, he didn't "stop" his pace like he normally does, he was clearly very nervous. That, plus a very bad performance combined is a clear sign he isn't one of those players who play at their normal level immediately after an injury. Yeah his time at Monaco hasn't been that great overall but after the injury he looked like an amateur. You could see the difference clearly, not only in his first match but in the next few matches also.

    3. Even if his knee is fine by June, it's very unlikely he will be at the level of Bacca, Jackson, Teo, Ramos and so on. I'm not sure I would sacrifice one of them for Falcao. The only reason I'm even thinking about giving Falcao a chance is because he is truly an exceptional player. If this was about any other player, I'd be like N.I.G.G.A PLEASE!

It's up to Pekerman at this point.

If Falcao is not 100% I would not call him up.

Using him as a decoy can only work for about one half before the opposing team realizes he's playing like a tronco.

I agree for the most part.

Thing is Falcao is a leader and brings inspiration to the team spiritually and mentally too. So those are other reasons that have to be mentioned.

Yes Falcao is important in that way too. But if you were a midfielder in the NT, wouldn't you like to have the strongest possible attacker up front? Knowing you have the best possible team gives you confidence also. But yeah, Falcao at his best is irreplaceable in that sence.

    Yup.
One of the reasons I believe it is still a 50-50 tossup whether or not Falcao is on the roster come June.
