Man City to offer Dzeko new contract

Manchester City are set to open talks with Edin Dzeko over a new long-term contract and will swat away any interest in the Bosnian forward, who has impressed manager Manuel Pellegrini this season.

Inter and now JUVE are interested in Dzeko. Quite frankly doesnt make sense at all. Llorente, Vucinic, Giovinco, Tevez(plays more AM as of this season), Quagliarella(gone after this season), and then a bunch of solid strikers who they co-own and could bring back whenever. Maybe they are moving parts this summer. Maybe theyre trying to fnck with Inter. Idk.

    image.jpg

Although all the strikers mentioned are aging(Giovinco youngest at age 27). Llorente is 29. Tevez and Vucinic are 30. Quagliarella is 31.

Dzeko should go to Atletico Madrid. Not too much pressure, high performing club.

I feel like Dzeko wouldn't do well on a team that gets a lot of publicity like Inter, Milan, Juve in Italy...Barca/Real in Spain.. Manchester City, United, Chelsea in England, Bayern in Germany...

There's just too much pressure to perform at a high level every game and I just don't think Dzeko has the mental strength for it. If he did he would have been a huge success in Man City. Not to say he's a failure. He had a good tenure so far, but he is capable of much more imo.

Not enough mental strength? Are you serious? Do you realize all the things he had to go thru so far with City? From Mancini to now? Bought with a heavy price tag. Called the main man. Then Aguero gets bought. Now he has to deal with Tevez, Balotelli and Aguero. The clear Balotelli favoritism from Mancini and then he fell in love with Tevez and Aguero up top. That SHATTERS anyones confidence. Dzeko tried hard to do what he can. Scored CRUCIAL goals. Next season rolls around. Gets treated like dog shit. Pretty much gonna leave once he can. Pellegrini comes in. Calls him main man. Buys Negredo. Buys Jovetic. Same situation. Negredo falls apart. Jovetic is missing. He steps up and scores more for them. Theres a reason why City dont want to sell him. Hes a good teammate. He scores big goals. And quite obviously dont want him to go to another EPL team where he would actually be the main man. They know thats a terrible idea. Not many teams wanted him other than EPL squads and Dortmund(who couldnt pay his wages). The Juve, AC Milan and Bayern ship sailed quickly. The teams that still were interested were Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea depending on which month it was. Other than that it wasnt too appealing. No one knew Atleti would be this good in the beginning of the season. And Atleti still get a good amount of press in Spain.

Juve have been trying to get rid of Vucinic really hard, he was set to go to Inter as part of the Guarin deal but then Inter changed their mind. He had supposedly agreed to terms with both Tottenham and Arsenal but the move collapsed because he didn't want to go on loan. Giovinco sucks, Quag is probably gone. So his only real competition would be Llorente since Tevez isn't a natural CF like you mention. I wouldn't mind the move, he would win every trophy in Italy and Juve could make a pretty deep run in the Champions League too. And Lulic would likely be their, so thats an added bonus, would help him with understanding Italian at first.

    Pellegrini dismisses Messi link again

Manuel Pellegrini has again shrugged off reports that Manchester City are preparing a 250 million Euro bid for Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

    Just
imagine City buying Messi and going on twitter having to read Bosnians complaining how Dzeko should be starting every time Messi misses a chance:ROFLMAO:

Prefer BvB or Roma over Juventus? That's crazy talk. Juventus is the one team that has any future in European comp in Italy. If Vucinic, Quaq, and Giovinco all leave Dzeko totally has a place if he reduces his wages. Vucinic almost left for Inter in the Winter, Quaq is mentioned in a swap deal + cash for Juve to acquire Lulic.

Roma is having a record season, I don't believe they will continue this next year.
