funny i happened upon this thread because this weekend i had to drive my daugher to a birthday party out in the sticke where the buses don't go and i say the odo hit 77777 (km). it's a 1996 renault scénic. came with a full tank? when you buy a new car here it comes with fumes and a coupon for 5l at the nearest station. they tell you exactly which station and don't miss it because the car won't go a km farther!
I like to go on long drive and racing with my friends so generally I used to go by my father's WagonR because I dont have my own, its on 1 lakh, and no doubt it reach on this by only me because my father rarely use car all the time use bike, that's why my parents never buy car for me and recently my cousin buy new BMW X3 and fortunately one day it came to my hand and I drive 1k in a day...
i ended up driving a little more than i had hoped. odometer is up to 1087 and i'm now averaging 43.1 mpg. around town i mostly use the electric motor, and on one short ( 6 mi ) trip to visit a friend, my average mpg was 61.4. very interesting vehicle.
I have a three year old Citroen C3 with just 9k on the clock. I've added 2000 of those miles though, since I bought it three months ago. It's got a 45 litre (10 gallon) tank, and I get over 500 miles per fill up. It's not a hybrid or anything. Just a 1.4 litre diesel. Definitely the nicest car I've had.
just returned from a 2600 mile round trip to Yakima, WA. BTW, if you're in Portland, hit The Country Cat and order "The Whole Hog". on the trip, averaged 43.4* mpg. ODO is 7637. *it would have been higher, but my wife is such a lead foot.
Just recently hit 385,000 miles! The poor thing is showing it's age. I might start working out of my house soon though so I won't have drive very much at all anymore. Maybe then I can put some money into it and fix up, maybe pimp it out a little.
odo is up to 14,624 -- trip to Chattanooga and back. averaged 44.2 mpg. Franklin BBQ in Austin was closed, but ate at the Round Rock version of The Salt Lick. excellent baby back ribs, but shoulda ordered the brisket. oh, well.
About a year ago someone ran over the Suzuki and totaled it when it had 122K. My almost year old Honda CB500F has 14K.
Three years later and up to almost 227k. Next target is 250k, but that will take a while as I use public transit or walk for my commute. Car is now over 17 years old.
2001 Honda Civic with 135,000. Runs like a champ although the cheap interior went to hell. Fun tip: any auto parts store sells these little plastic screws that you can use to keep that sagging headliner off your head. I've been taking the train to work for the past 6 years so she ain't seen much mileage.
