I might have this wrong - but 3 wins and a draw actually seems like that would do it. Let's say man city is level on games and lets just "give" them a win - that means Liv - 34played 77pts Plastics - 34played 75pts Citeh - 34played 74pts
3 wins and a draw. But I still want 4 more wins - finishing the season on a 14 game winning streak would just be epic.
Plus - our man Borini is going to show us why we'll want him back next year at LFC by getting a goal for the win against Chel$ki this weekend
Well after Sunday if we won out Man Citeh couldn't catch us but now they are 6 points back with a single game in hand. We could in theory draw one and they still couldn't catch us
Go for the wins, nothing less. Today was a sure fire demonstration of why there are no gimmes, except, maybe, goalkeeping ones, in this league.
Two summers ago, I think it was, I was pimping Connor Wickham for Liverpool. Now I'm glad he went elsewhere.
The other guy you were pimping is doing quite well and scoring goals for the Sounders. He seems to have found his level and is happy.
Can we move this thread to the Everton forum? I am now officially an Everton supporter for the next 4 weeks. The two best teams reside on Merseyside.
This thread title seems so damn appropriate once again. Arsenal picking it up just in time to grab their trophy coupled with a couple of poor Everton performances down the stretch.
And the doose scored another brace last match and seems to have found his level as a shark in a goldfish bowl. Much as I dislike Dempsey, I do respect him. It's not easy to break into the world of big time football unless you combine your natural talent with hard work. He did well in the Prem and gained an Engerlish fan base before retiring in his old age to the MLS nursing home. Compare that to the guy who was given, not one but two chances to make his mark in one of the top leagues and whined his way back to mama twice because they didn't recognize his wonderful potential. He was the 'big' fish in the small pond, and happy in his mediocrity.
Wouldn't that be something? As much as I'd like to see Arsenal go dry again...I expect they will win this...I've got a good friend who is a long-suffering Gunner, he would go nuts if they lose...
