saw this in the banner ad above the milan forum. anyone interested? http://shop.bigsoccer.com/66565.html they forgot to add that pato hasn't played for milan since the fall of 2012 and was sold over a year ago.
ciao fratelli i'm going to a San Siro game soon. it's my first time. i will be leaving from the Duomo. does anyone know how long the tram ride takes from the Duomo to San Siro? would taking the metro be any faster? also, does anyone know a good place to get a bite around the Duomo area? my flight lands at 1215 at MXP and i want to check in my bags (my hotel is all the way in Rogoredo), climb the Duomo, catch a quick bite, then go to the game is this possible?
Thought you guise would like this, it's a picture of Maldini and Mancini back when they were in the Italian army.
The Navigli district is located near the Duomo. Best to taxi there from the Duomo. Along the Naviglio Grande you'll find a lot of expensive but good restaurants and night life, and did I mention expensive? Worth the trip if you're already there! To get to San Siro you take the underground red line from the Duomo to the Lotto station or bus ride as it comes much more frequently, especially on game days. Game days can be a zoo around there. Taxi's will rip you off. Let us know how it goes!!
grazie! i didn't know the bus comes often. i might use that as a backup option if we're late. i think we might take the scenic route and take the tram from the Duomo just so we can see more sights along the way (i know... tourists). can't see much if we take the metro. any idea how long it takes to ride tram #16 from the Duomo to the stadium?
If you take tram, be safe and give yourself 45mins from the time you want to arrive, so one less beer before you go Buses are more frequent during game days for sure! What game are you going to? It's been a while for me, the derby's were wild. Tell me you're going to see Milan vs Inter!!
Was just there last week for Catania. I've been to a couple and always took the metro, but I had a day or 2 before for sightseeing. The Brera area is pretty cool for grabbing a bite or a drink.
whistles* who says anything about me going to a Milan game? i said a San Siro game.............. it's actually Inter Milan vs Lazio lol BUTTT!!!! i will also be going to the Atalanta vs Milan game the next day as an away fan. i hope you guys win that match and get into Europe. for the sake of Serie A and our coefficients i dont want the likes of Lazio/Torino/Parma to get into the Europa League next season. it'll be tough but you guys aren't far off and there's still a lot of games left to play don't worry. Inter Milan vs AC Milan is on my bucket list. and when i say don't worry, i mean i'll definitely cheer for you you guys are the lesser evil
it's okay. i only ask for directions on the AC Milan board because Inter fans don't exist they only show up when their club is performing well. few seasons ago Inter fans were everywhere. bunch of plastics
i felt like i needed to add a comment here, but i'm no help with getting to the stadium. when i went to san siro, we just walked to the stadium. we stayed only 5 or 6 blocks away.
If you're not too classy (and obviously you're not, you're Interista haha) I'd recommend a hostel. There is a decent one one metro stop from San Siro. I've stayed there a couple of times. It's an inexpensive bed and not much more.
not a big fan of hostels. prefer my privacy not gonna lie. i'll be in the San Siro booing Lazio's every touch. but no way am i joining in for any Inter chanting same for the next day at the Atlanta vs Milan match. under normal circumstances i'd would root for Atalanta against Milan. but they can go ******** themselves after their little anti-Roma parade last summer. plus, AC Milan in Europa League is good for the league and coefficient. better than Torino in the EL
whaatttt, i have a friend who's a flight attendant and she has to pay for flights all the time what'd your mother do? stick you in the baggage compartment told you to count to 30,000?
nope. we got on flights if there were open seats. only had to pay taxes. so round trip to europe was ~$70 if i remember right.
Ostello bello in town is the best hostel I've ever been to. Its won best in the world a couple of times and best in Italy constantly. Its so cool all the locals hang out and share some beers! They get in performers and you can happily spend the night without going out
