We broke 6,000 for a regular season game. Last year, the playoffs were some of the best-attended matches all season. Will it sell out, I don't know - but it won't be a small crowd.

Well, I would guess that people haven't had a lot of positive things to say lately, so they haven't been writing.

The coach, whom everyone seems to like and respect, and has been quite successful, is on the way out the door.

The team lost four straight games to end the regular season.

In the semi-finals, they play the only team they failed to beat this year.

    Not really encouraging.

Is there another forum where Railhawks fans tend to post other than here?

    Not really.

I think the difference is that we're on eggshells at the moment.

Last year we started off horribly, then turned on the jets late.

This year has been the opposite. It's real easy to be chatty when your team is crushing everyone. Now that we're in a bit of a tail-spin, I'm not surprised that folks around here are a little quieter.

The wheels haven't completely come off. We did finish in first place. We can still win it all.

Oh, ok then. I was just assuming there was another forum on one of the supporter websites maybe that people preferred to post on.

Trying to get out to a Railhawks game. Allergies here are killing me. Looks like I will get to the May 31 match. My daughter may be walking out with the team for that game. We will see in the coming days.

I'd say last week's match has killed a lot of the Railhawk fever temporarily...

No, not really. We still have an Open Cup game against Chivas USA, a reasonable shot at playoffs, and a long home winning streak. We've just moved away from BigSoccer.

Fair enough. Definitely would love to see another deep Open Cup run, but a little annoyed that for the 3rd year in a row its a Chivas-Galaxy pairing. A little variety would be lovely here in Cary.

Hats off to Scott Goodwin keeping the home streak alive vs Chivas. But that was an awful shootout!

Poor Galaxy, they really can't figure the Railhawks out. Scott Goodwin is a freakin stud.

Can anyone tell me why Zack Schilawksi plays the entire game? Almost every game it looks like he needs to be subbed out by the 70th minute but he never is. Last night seemed like Daniel Jackson should have come on for him. (And also much sooner than when he was subbed on for a forget who in like the 87th minute.) I get that he scores goals, but they just don't seem to result from skill, but more like lucky positioning.

Our attack fails in the last third of the field quite often and seems like a large part is Schilawksi standing around and not making cuts until our midfielders are dispossessed or take a wild shot. Oh well, just curious of other peoples thoughts/observations.

Clarke is in love with Zack for some reason, and never takes him off. I agree with your assessment, but I see not light at the end of the tunnel.

Did you go? What did you think of the new folks. I liked the new GKs but I'm still devastated that Scott Goodwin left.
