Yes I agree; I was one of those very critical of him throughout this season but yesterday he got everything spot on and deserves huge credit. I was calling for sub changes earlier on but he delayed them until the end and it worked out good because we had to break up the game as Barcelona were building attack after attack. He learned from the past games and fixed the mistakes and we had a very good game, I have no problem saying I was wrong; I'm now happy for him to stay another season and build on what we have done. At the end of the day everyone here on this side of the board wants what is best for the club and at this moment in time continuing to build on this would be the best way forward in my opinion. Keep it going Carlo.
Like he wasn't going to get another season regardless. Some of you are cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs methinks
He would deserve a huge credit if he would do anything substantial. Yeah "we" beat Barcelona, the weakest Barcelona in "ages" who is comical especially in phase of defending and only with 2:1 - that is something that i cannot take for as "achievement" - especially if Madrid had a player more on the pitch, thanks Pinto. So lets wait with the "huge" credits until a "cripple" ( Barcelona ) is replaced with a "champion" - Bayern.
He deserved to stay anyway. Its baffling how people are actually happy with manager changes every year. smh...
Carlos problem were big games, he just won his first big game this season, and it was the first time our team showed heart vs a big team.
Big games... basically 5 games over a course of a season of 50+ games, where anything can happen. People are prepared to sack one of the most successful managers in the world to start from scratch because of 5 games. Just amazing. And thats ignoring the fact that the entire thing is a myth, since we've beaten Juventus, Atletico very soundly (in the Cup) and Dortmund as well. Now Barca is on the list too. Who else is there? Should we sack him if he doesn't win against Bayern?
Of course, it's normal for a RM manager to lose the big games, almost all of them. Beating the small teams with a 0.5M budget is the hard thing.
Maybe those people who say that he just got himself another season. Because, you know, if he didn't win, he shouldn't have got himself another season? Because, you know, if he shouldn't have got himself another season, he should have been sacked? Unless you are suggesting some way of him not getting another season and also not getting sacked. Then we could call him Schroedinger's Carlo or something.
Where did anyone said he should be sacked, especially after the CDR? I see that you manned up once and quoted me, but quickly edited it. Smallballs22.
Good, personal insults. Now we're going somewhere with this argument. You know its directed to you, I just don't consider you worthy enough of actually quoting you in a post of mine. So sorry for the mistake. But yeah, you said he got himself another season now, implying that if he didn't win the final, he shouldn't have got himself another season. I know that you don't understand what other people are writing, but now you don't understand even your own stuff? Hilarious.
You just called me 5 year old in the Benzema thread, now you are acting mature and complaining about insults? LOL? Oh the hypocrisy...
I am suggesting to wait till the season to do any serious conclusions. Besides where is the harm in talking - debating?
