I don't think it's as much as him not needing surgery as him opting not to have it. Opting not to have it lets him return quicker, but also will be the cause for a lot of longterm injuries.
We'll see. He's got freakish recovery speed. He had a broken hand earlier this season and was only out 4 weeks when he was expected to be out 6. The doctors are already expecting him to play again before the playoffs. He should be your boy, he's from Chicago.
no Bayern basketball player has to my knowledge a NBA clause, so that they could jump ship. Since the transfer window closed anyway Bayern won't let him go, after his one year contract is up after the season it is a different story. If NBA clubs invite or if other more wealthy european clubs bid for him it will be more than difficult to keep him though
another interesting thing to mention is the potential cooperation of Bayern basketball and OKC. Got uncovered yesterday that both clubs are in talks and that KKC officials are in Munich this week including the CL game
I don't know if it was mentioned before, but Dirk Nowitzki is now in the top10 of the all-time leading scoring list. Considering his playing stile is not that strongly affected by his age, there's a possibility to attack the 30'000 points mark.
Thank god the Spurs won against Phoenix. Still, the Mavs need to play their best basketball in the next two games to get 7th place, because we have no chance against San Antonio in the playoffs. Against OKC, however, the Mavs might be able to cause an upset. Let's hope they can pull it off.
I still haven't forgiven you for screwing up the finals series against the Heat. I was up all night to watch you win game 6...
Please don't remind me.... That final 28 seconds will live in our nightmares forever.. Like the 99/12 finals for bayern.. You know people in San Antonio still depressed about it. I think everyone BUT heat fans were cheering for us to beat them that night...
The icing on the cake would have been the commissioner's face, to give the trophy to the Spurs in his last year. You fecked it up!
Now the Mavs face the Grizzlies on the last matchday of the regular NBA season, both teams have 49 wins. The Mavs need to secure 7th place at all costs, because a surprise against OKC is much more likely than against the Spurs. Let's hope they will not feck it up like in the game against Golden State.
Too bad the Nets are going to try to lose their next two to avoid the Bulls in round 1 of the playoffs to play Toronto
******** yeah Bulls lost, so we're the 4 seed and we get Indiana in round 2 if we make it there. Now we need Nets to lose and Wizards to win. So far so good.
Dream scenario for the Bulls complete. I wonder where this takes them. Beat the ********ing Wizards!!!!
Mavs lose against the Grizzlies in overtime...just like against Golden State...well no chance against the Spurs so that was it.
No chance against OKC either Meanwhile my Bulls get the dream scenario. I really hope for an upset Bulls vs. Nets ECF with the Bulls making the Finals where D-Rose returns and gets us number 7
Rockets have a dream path to the WC finals, where we will get swept by the Clippers or badly beaten by OKC. First round against Portland who we won the season series 3-1 against. Second round likely against the Spurs who we swept 4-0 during the regular season. LAC and OKC own us though. Gonna have to hope for a miracle on the other half of the WC bracket.
We beat OKC two times during the regular season so there was a small chance. I think we would have been a challenging opponent for Durant & Westbrook.
Nah I don't think you could have beat them. Who guards Durant? Who guards Westbrook? At least OKC can throw Ibaka at Dirk.
