    FT Iraq 3 - 1 China

We qualify by the slightest of margins. A moment of magic where both China and Thailand scored.....

Let's see how Perrin can do with the team. I liked the intentions of the team, trying to play a short passing style, but our players were very poor today. I do think he's a step up from Camacho, but time will tell

If Lippi says the chinese national team hasn't the winning mentality, why he doesn't take the double charge?

I don't really rate Fu Bo. I think he's good with the players but as a coach i feel he's too lacking

Teeratep Winothai and Adisak Kraisorn from Thailand have done more for the Chinese national team then just about anyone else throughout this campaign except for Zhang Xizhe who had the balls to step-up and take the pen.

I'm incredibly sceptical about Perrin but at least he was willing to make changes and he did put on Zhang Xizhe who scored. I hope him all the best, he's gonna need it

The AFC Asian Cup draw is tomorrow morning. Which teams do you guys want to see China get in their group?

So China is in group B with Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, and North Korea. North Korea should be an easy win, but the other two teams will be really tough.

I can see us getting two draws and a win in this group which would most likely see us advance. However given the history of us always choking when it matters, it wouldn't be too surprising if we go home with three losses. I'm excited for the Cup though, we could've gotten alot worse, advancing from this group is very doable, very much so for all 4 teams.

NOT CONFIRMED: China might give up Copa America 2015 due to 2018 World Cup qualifier schedule.

Well at least Perrin is taking his job seriously and doing his research on his players (unlike Camacho). I wouldn't have left out Zheng Zhi despite Perrin trying to go for a more youthful set-up because you still need experienced leaders in your team. Yes ZZ is not the long term solution to the captaincy of the team but with so many youngsters in this 50 man provisional squad having someone they trust lead them out can't be a bad thing. Personally I would have kept ZZ for a short while and phased him out while the team had settled.
