Great goal from Viafara and a great win for Cali, I hope it'll help them to qualify, because they have now two away matches.

Tio, I'm don't share your optimism regarding the local league, you guys already out ;) (need something like 21 points out of 24...) Not gonna happen.

Maybe so, but remember last semester you ruled us out as well for a top 4 finish. Turned out we were runners up *shrugs*

sucks man... I was talking to my dad and it looked like Dep Cali was the only Colombian team to make it to the 2nd round after the screw job the mexican did to Nacional.

Tho Starting Marrugo over Lizarazo is something that I don't understand. Dude was Calis best player last season. Does Marrugo have a clause on his contract that says he must start every game?

I was thinking the same thing, however I did like how the coach shifted candelo to a right winger, I only wished we didn't give up two stupid goals we could of probably just kept a tie or even win if they weren't so relaxed with an early two goal lead

Cali lost in Paraguay 3-2 and they are out. Huge failure in my opinion, they have to qualify with this squad and these rivals, but I guess the internal problems in this club were too much for all the system there. At the bottom of the FPC and out from the LIB in group stage. Too bad, I really wanted that they qualified, but for next tournament they'll have to chage a lot of things there.

hope they get a top coach or a foreign coach to come and change things. Tho Cali is a lot like Junior it will probably be de La Pava haha

No more Marrugo would be insanely helpful too haha

think the april fools you are getting a shit ton of money from Arabia to fix your stadium and get better talent really F'd with this teams head. I know the final 2 teams usually have a crazy drop in form but what happened to Cali is inexcusable

It didn't make any sense tho. 1st why wouldn't that investor go to Nacional. 2nd is the amount of money was insane for that they could have bought Dep Cali + America de Cali + Junior and maybe Santa Fe

Cali needs new CBs (be cool if they got Yepes for 1-2 seasons but he can still play in Italy) and a GK, as well as a CF

John silva isn't bad as a back up keeper for Cali. He's been playing a lot of games as of late.

    People need to leave though

    Luis f mosquera
    Lucas scaglia
    Cristian marrugo
Victor giraldo (just to free up money)
    Mauricio casierra

    Promote our cantera
    Johan angulo
    Cristian Higuita
    Carlos Rivas

    Buy some players
    Yepes
    Rodallega
Other South American or concacaf based players.

Yepes should retire after the world cup and I wouldn't bet y money on him. If you want to start from new, you can get a good and young defenders so you can aim for the future. Yepes can be helpful for a tournament or two, that's it. Rodallega is a different story, but I don't think he'll return to Colombia.

Yepes is much much better in Italy then on the NT. Atlanta is a rock in the back. I can see him extending with Atlanta or going to another Italian team. He could play 6 months in Cali but why? Promote a youth player or get a player from another team

Just get rid of Viafara !!!

Vladimir Marin, Diego Amaya, Steven Mendoza, Lucas Scaglia, Sergio Romero y Néstor Camacho won't continue in the club next semester. Nothing to be surprised with.

13 players getting the boot from DIM, 6 at Cali + Mondragon retiring + guys who have yet to be cut.

Colombia teams really do have huge clear outs.

    This means three things...

1.) Either we getting ready for a major set of buys

2.) We are getting ready to make a major set of buys with average players

3.) We are planning to promote most of our cantera and elect a new coach.

New coach and a bunch of youth players being promoted. You guys want a real good striker that plays in that team that destroyed Santa Fe tho Nacional wants him
