Did you see this from the USASA? I'm glad the NPSL has made it big enough to interest USASA in creating something like this between all of the groups. Not saying this had the NPSL becoming larger had a direct impact, but it's good that the teams that are in Regional/State Leagues and the two National Leagues are having something now.

    Kudos!

I wonder why they didn't have the defending NPSL and PDL champions involved? I'm guessing a scheduling issue.

for the USASA championships? They are usually the week before or after the NPSL championships which is about the same time the PDL is. Scheduling is hectic due to the 'summer ball' nature of our amateur level.

Here's an idea for the future. Maybe have a super cup type event. So have the winners of the following from the previous year, NPSL winner, PDL winner, US Amateur Cup and maybe whoever went the farthest in the Open Cup.

    Yeah, I know I'm dreaming.

    That's what they're doing here.

And typically, RVA draws the easiest travel situation possible, only traveling 2 hours for this tournament.

Maryland is now closer than North Carolina and no time like the present!
But I might wait until year 3 or 4 when it all finally arrives in New York!

    The draw, I guess:

North Texas Rayados -v- Red-White-Blue Adria

Austin Aztex -v- Richmond Virginia FC

May 22 for the Men's SF.

They kept showing graphics of Sonoma County Sol -v- Ocean City Noreasters, but those teams aren't in the tourney (at least not in the original listing). [They didn't even bother to pull the other two pieces of paper out of the pot.]

I think it should actually read RVA FC...and I've heard that Pali Blue have just backed out of the Womens draw

and I'll give you one guess which city "RVA" plays in. Hint: it's a town that starts with an "R" and whose post office code is "VA"

Plus, I'll give one other guess what three colors "RWB" Adria mean.
