I booked the same hotel directly through their website a while back. I got the confirmation email right away but it took a few days for the charge to show up on my credit card. I gave them a call and managed to speak to someone in English and they reassured me that it would take a few days to show up.
Oh great to know. Thanks. I tried calling them a few times but can't manage to find someone that speaks english haha. Think I better prepare for more communication issues on the trip that I thought.
just booked an apt in Manaus for $275 a night through airbnb.com. flights RT to Manaus from Sao Paulo through Priceline.com on Tam airlines....$481.
I looked through those airbnb listings. We only needed lodging for two stays of two nights each, and all of the airbnb folks wanted a week minimum. Ended up booking hotels instead.
If you've got room for a couple Canadian lads, send me a PM. Most of the airbnb listings I saw were a bit "unsafe", but if we're travelling in numbers I'd feel a lot better.

My GF and I will be in Manaus for all the group stage matches (June 12-26). One problem. We don't have any lodging reservation for Sat. June 21st. Should we just wait it out until we get to Manaus? Does anyone have any insight on how we should approach this?
