LD is starting to decline though, it's a shame. What made him a good player in the past was those bursts of energy and instinctive attacking runs. 2014 will probably be his last world cup which is a shame, 4 World Cups ain't bad though.
Copa del rey tonight. Real Madrid without Ronaldo is a massive boost for Barca. Could go either way. If I had to choose I'd say Real Madrid...
Barca has no CBs, serves them right. Spending a 100M on Neymar when you only have Pique, injured Puyol, out of position Mascherano and Bartra for defense for 2 seasons is idiotic.
Connor Wickham was the answer to Sunderland's woes, top class counter and finish 1-2 Sunderland and city out of it
It's why the Jozy guff is so annoying. Certain American fans have fallen back to the typical pattern of blaming the club for a players misfortune. I became very familiar with this tendency with Dempsey at Spurs. In Jozy's case there's really no excuse for playing around 37 matches in all competitions and having 2 goals. It's not all the teams fault, if he had a bit more class he'd be able to engineer goals with little support like Borini or Adam Johnson have done. He's a limited forward.
Gareth Bale got pushed by Bartra which slowed him down and he still out ran Bartra to score, unbelievable pace.
I see @DDR is enjoying this Barca season of turmoil and failure. What makes it even better is the joke of a team that Manchester United has become this season, and the joke of a coach Moyes has become.
FFP In judging related-party transactions, it is determined by a 3 prong test: How much equivalent media exposure would have cost through the company advertising in other ways How the deal compares with those struck by other clubs What independent marketing experts think of the agreement Source is what someone posted here a couple pages back http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ree-under-Uefa-Financial-Fair-Play-rules.html
They have a new way to defend him now. They have this table that shows that Sunderland have scored more goals when Jozy is on the field than when not. Of course they don't mention that almost all of those goals he did nothing to contribute for. But he somehow gets credit for those goals just for being physically on the field, and that somehow proves he isn't completely useless.
I'm fearing over expansion. Atlanta is a big market, but is it a soccer driven market? Will be competing with the Braves, The Hawks, and The Falcons.
I'm sure @SoCalYid will know. Personally I think it could be good because soccer is growing very fast in the south and it is a concern but I think that the only way the MLS can become more popular is to try to appeal to more people. Personally none of the current teams really interest me(as well as many of my friends) since the level of the MLS is obviously not the same as England, Italy, Spain, Germany and I just have never been able to really find a team that I like. I think that more people(including a lot of people that are into soccer that don't watch the MLS) would watch soccer if there was a team somewhat close to them. Also with more teams it provides more opportunities for younger players but with expansion you also have to be concerned about the general level of play. Also Socalyid if I said something stupid try not to write a really long response mocking my lack of knowledge in this area, haha Lol.
