Interesting interview with Amarikwa on Extra Time Radio … most interesting thing, several players played Fantasy Soccer last year: Q, Nane, Ceus, and others
It would be awesome if Claudio was brought back to help coach, scout, or be involved in the youth setup. He's an absolute class act and it's a shame he only had a short stint with the Rapids. But he did win a title with us! Vicente Sanchez reminds me of Lopez during his KC days. I think that's why I like him so much.
Wouldn't it be great to see both Lopez and Sanchez in post player roles with the Rapids? They are both professional and passionate.
Absolutely and I assume both would have quite the connections in South America. They are exactly the type of characters you want involved in the club -- born leaders and highly respected like Pablo.
I know right after Lopez retired he was reportedly doing some basic scouting work for the team in S.A. Don't know if that's continued or not.
That doesn't surprise me in the least. I assume it was/is for Racing Club where he has legendary status.
I don't think many of us around here are surprised to see Mr. Pickens off to a good start for his new club http://www.nasl.com/article/uuid/pq...pring-season-nasl-team-of-week-1#.U0_3cfmXZ8F Goalkeeper Matt Pickens, Tampa Bay Rowdies – Made three crucial saves, including a penalty save in 1-1 draw against FC Edmonton
I'm going to get to see him play tomorrow night against indy eleven. Looking forward to seeing him play again.
It appears Hinchey is attempting to hear find a place for Lopez in the Rapids' organization. Per tweets.
How about asst. coach for scoring goals. He could get help get our forwards' shit together so the team looks more like they have an attack that can work.
Don't look now but our coked-out hamster friend just put in his FOURTH goal of this young season! Go Q!
I loved the energy Q brought when he entered matches. Just didn't think he was tactically sound much of the time.
Weird, you would think Loan would be terminated and Rapids would want to re-hab him from here (After Houston paid for surgery)
Does Houston pay for this, since he went down while playing for them? Would they be able to terminate their loan as he can't play again this year? Hope those aren't stupid questions
Interesting test case for the inter-league loan. I wonder if they thought through all of this before setting up the program.
