Im getting very happy reading up on the transfer news the last days. If there really is truth behind the JM rumours, thats insanely awesome! not that we are getting him necessarily, but the fact that he would prefer us over other teams :) means our project is becoming interesting.
    BUT GIVE ME DIDIER !!!

I really hope to god we dont get Jackson because his move to us will most likely be his last really big move and we will not be able to resell him in the future.

I think I would rather get Didier on a free for a couple of years to rotate with Destro and Totti then pay 25-30 million euros for Jackson Martinez. I think Didier would offer something different that Destro and Totti don't offer.

I'm okay with getting Drogba as long as we sign him for just 1 season. Not any longer.

Well he definitely has no resale value but he potentially could be the Batistuta of our next scudetto. Ironically he too had no resale value but no one dares to question his signing.

Maybe we reached the point where we buy end product to get immediate results, or maybe not and a safe cheaper option is better. Either way I have blind faith in Sabatini/Garcia choices.

I'd prefer Drogba. 30 million could go a long way in improving other areas of the squad and strengthening depth rather than spending it all on one player.

But I'll still be happy if JM does arrive instead.

JM could be our new Batigol , the 2000/2001 team had an amazing starting XI with not the best reserves ever , this looks similar.

Martinez is not at all close to the level Batistuta was when we got him in 2000.

On a free with a salary of 2.7 per year, Drogba could be a very practical solution. He's still class, and he can put the ball in the back of the net. Better than Mitroglu or any of the other guys, and the other depth options would require transfer fees on top of their salaries, so it would roughly come out to the same amount of cash needed.

Sabatini ain't no fool, he won't go after Jackson Martinez. He is the player Saba sells not buys.

Drogba would be fine I guess. Maybe it's just me but I always get the feeling with him, the machine has to break down at sometime. He's 36 right now and for his style of player by all rights he really shouldn't be good anymore. Hopefully it's not steroids but that's the apprehensive feeling I always have with him.

I think he could be a good option for the price. I also possess the same fears as you do though.

Drogba most likely wouldn't be playing every game and would rotate with totti/destro i guess if we stick with 433

we'll need Drogba if we're going to challenge with Juve for the scudetto

At this point there is little reason to believe Osvaldo will stay at Juve unless Southampton give him away for free. From what I've been seeing we will probably have Immobile as our 3rd stringer next season. Osvaldo, Quags, Vuccy and probably Gio all look to be on their way out.

Such a shame if Immobile is wasted as Juves 3rd striker.

I just think he's a genetic freak. He's probably the kind of guy that barely has to work out to looked jacked.

The Lion King is the all-time scorer for the Albiceleste and the All time scorer for the Albiceleste in the World Cup , but you also have to remember Serie A is not nearly half as good these days.

The Drogba rumors have been denied by the club according to today's reports. Still talking about Jackson though. The only way he joins Roma is if Saba decides to sell Destro IMO, no other way.

Saba is not keen on giving the legend a renewal even though Taddei is fine with lowering his salary, he wants Paredes to get more playing time next season.

Corriere Dello Sport says Iturbe , Santon and Paulinho , renew contract for Pjanic and Benatia , add to that Jackson Martinez , i can very well tell you that unless Juve buys CR7 and Napoli Messi , the next League is ours , if all of that happens.

With those players it would look something like this...

    De Sanctis(Scuffet?)

Maicon (Torosidis), Benatia(Romagnoli) ; Castan (Toloi) , Santon (Dodò).

Pjanic (Paulinho) , De Rossi (Viviani) , Strootman ( Nainggolan)

Gervinho (Ljajic) , Jackson Martinez (Totti/Destro) , Iturbe (Florenzi).
