Any predictions for the year for the Scorpions. I think they will be in the top half of the league for both seasons. Will be interesting to see how good Indy and the Fury will be on the pitch. Cosmos and Rowdies will be tough, but I think the Railhawks and Minny take a step back.
I went to the Saprissa game and saw how absolutely important Richie Minjivar is to this team. I think if Minjivar stays healthy, they have a great chance at winning the championship. Most of the good build up play came from him and he has a great work rate. There were other good players on the field, but none more influential than him.
Horrible calls against the Scorpions all night. However, they controlled most of the possession, but did nothing with it. To me this looks a lot like last year. Cannot lose points at home. And on the road with ATL and NY. Have to get 4 points out of that trip or the Spring is over for SA.
The red card I didn't understand. Did he push him or hit him. If it was a push, that should've been a yellow card. And no yellow card for the Minn player who put a boot in his face? In other news, I'm watching the replay on ESPN3 of the Indy game vs. Carolina. Great video quality. I wish SA had great video like that.
Minnesota did receive a Yellow Card during that ordeal. Both teams had three card each at the end; Scorpions had 1 red and two yellows though. The Scorpion's broadcast had a lot of issues, mainly audio. It might have something to do with the local TV broadcasting they do.
I came home and watched the replay. He pushed him down to the ground. But it was not that big of a push. How a dangerous kick to the head is a yellow, but a small push is a red. Wonder if they can rescind the red?
Minnesota United FC down San Antonio Scorpions, 2-0 http://boxscorenews.com/minnesota-united-fc-down-san-antonio-scorpions-p80548-108.htm
Must win tonight. Need to get those three points to be able to stay in the race for the Spring Title. And that makes next weeks trip to NY a little easier to come out with 1 point if they cannot get the W.
Wow got 6 points out of the road trip. IF at the season 3 games in with NY Cosmos being played on the road, most would be happy with the 6 points. Well done Scorpions.. Lets finish strong
Mostly because our current goalie is still doing great, (But he is 37 years old..) Great to see him getting minutes! Congrats on the win guys, you got a great team down there.
EEEEEric......HHHHHHHHHHHaaaaaaaaassli as the fans used to chant at Whitecaps games. Not as beautiful as some of his goals but so happy to see him score again, hoping for a big year from the big guy. Good win for the Scorps!
Scorpions to face Monterrey on July 6. http://i.imgur.com/pMpggYu.jpg Probably be outnumbered in the stands like the Tigres match last year. Should still be a fun match. Maybe they could have it at the Alamodome?
San Antonio Scorpions (NASL) at FC Dallas (MLS) Toyota Stadium; Frisco, TX – 9:00 p.m. ET BROADCAST: VIDEO (FC Dallas) Winner will play at Houston Dynamo (MLS)
Weird. Scorpions on social media has said there will not be a stream. FC Dallas confirmed it: http://www.fcdallas.com/blog/post/2014/06/17/tonights-lhusoc-match-vs-san-antonio-going-old-school
Sorry man, you got it wrong. Read the article -- they are apologizing for a video stream not being available because they are upgrading the FC Dallas equipment to HD cameras. They were only providing audio, which the Scorpions did put on their Twitter feed, which is how I listened to the game.
The Scorpions lose to FC Dallas 2-0. I new Fabian Castillo would give us trouble. He's just a great player.
