Ochoa was decent for Sounders. Should be a great pickup for Hammerheads.

Looks like forward Jordan Hamilton is on loan with Wilmington

    2015 ROSTER UPDATE

Great to see the more aggressive attitude this offseason by the Hammers. They've never had their roster so full at this time of year. That so many are returnees indicate the team should start the season very familiar with each other.

The roster is still looking a little bit short at some positions (like GK) but with 2 more trials to go, the ability to pick up the last of MLS roster cuts, and 3-4 loans coming from NYFC it should fill out nicely.

DEFINITELY BACK (all confirmed on Hammerheads website)

    1. Matt Glaeser GK

    2. Tom Parratt – DF

    3. Ashani Fairclough – DC

    4. Troy Cole – DF

    5. Andrae Campbell - DL

    6. Drew Ruggles - DL

    7. Paul Nicholson – MF

    8. Ross Tomaselli – MF

    9. Marc Godelman - MF

    10. Steven Miller – MF

    11. Will Heaney – MF

    12. Brian Ackley – DMC/ST

    13. Cody Arnoux – FW

    14. Sunny Jane – AMC/FW

    NEW ADDITIONS

    1. Justin Moose – MF

    2. Corben Bone – MF

    DEFINITELY GONE

    1. David Irving (coach): new coach of Tulsa Roughnecks

Although the team was right to let him go, it’s still good to see he landed on his feet

    2. Manu Aparicio – back with TFC after loan

    3. Quillian Roberts – back with TFC after loan

    4. Jordan Hamilton – back with TFC after loan

    5. Drew Lovitz - back with TFC after loan

    6. Mark-Anthony Kaye - back with TFC after loan

    7. Brad Stuver – back with Columbus after loan

    UNCERTAIN

    1. Mickael Oliveira - ST

    2. Yahaya Musa – DR

    3. Christian Davidson – DC

    4. Sammy Ochoa – ST

    5. Michael Calderon – MF

    6. Jason Watson - MF

    POSSIBLE STARTING LINEUP

Here's my take on the Hammers starting lineup if the season were to start today.

    ------------------------Arnoux-------------------------

    Jane----------------------- Bone-------------------Moose

    ---------- Ackley/Parratt------ Nicholson----------

    Ruggles/Campbell ---- Fairclough----- Cole ---- Parratt

    --------------------------Glaeser (GK)--------------------------

In addition to improving the GK position, we need another central defender so that Troy can also get some time at right back (allowing Parratt to play in midfield) and a striker with some speed to offer something different from Cody. Midfield looks as strong as I can ever remember...

    What do others think?

Some of those holes may be filled with the rumored players with visa problems. I'm hoping they update everyone at the PCF meeting Wednesday. And I would really love to have Stuver back for the season.

My guess is that forwards Tony Taylor or Markus Naglestad, midfielder Matt Dunn along with GK Andre Rawls will be coming down.

Mentioned at the PCF meeting Wednesday and just out on facebook and twitter - Steven Miller and Drew Ruggles will not be returning to the squad.

The team officials were kind of tight lipped about who might be added (although they expected to announce a signing soon.) The aforementioned visa problems are still unresolved.

According to this blog, one of the new signings from the NYCFC pipeline is 23 year old Montenegrin forward Bledi Bardic. It's unclear if this will be a loan or outright signing a la Rawls and Fran Martinez.
