I went there the other night, but I forgot your bartender friend's name so I didn't say hello. :(

How bad is crime currently in Barcelona? I have a friend who just moved there less than a month ago and yesterday her house was broken into while she was sleeping and someone stole a ton of jewelry and a few other things. She woke up and when the guy noticed there were people in the house he ran and never got caught. Is this common?

And my friend moved from San Juan, PR which has crime, though it’s mostly drug related, but still. She never once got mugged or stolen from in PR but a few weeks after she moved to Barcelona a guy broke into her apartment and stole a lot of valuable things.

It used to be mostly pickpockets, and mostly downtown and on public transportation. Sadly, I've heard of a few break-ins recently, so this thing that happened to your friend is far from an isolated event. Worst part is it will probably only get worse, given unemployment rates and the current economic situation.:(

It’s sad. She’s just there studying but now she she;s scared as hell. People breaking into your house while you’re sleeping. Not to be racist but she said the guy looking looked and dressed ike one of those gypsies that hang around Barcelona.

No doubt that next to climate change, income inequality might be the biggest challenge/problem going forward. Albeit a distant second.

Of course the USA comes out poorly on both issues....

I really, really hope Seinfeld shows up in a referee shirt.

RIP Gary. The Larry Sanders Show was of my favorite shows growing up. I guess I was way younger than the target audience, but I really enjoyed it.

I always thought his alien movie was really underrated.

The title of that Comedians episode is a little chilling.

“I’m very loyal in a relationship. Any relationship. When I go out with my mom, I don’t look at other moms and go, ‘I wonder what her macaroni and cheese tastes like’.”

“I sold my house this week. I got a pretty good price for it, but it made my landlord mad as hell.”

“They should put expiration dates on clothing so we men will know when they go out of style.”

“When I’m not in a relationship, I shave one leg, so when I sleep, it feels like I’m with a woman.”

“I once made love for an hour and fifteen minutes, but it was the night the clocks are set ahead.”

“I’m dating a homeless woman. It was easier talking her into staying over.”

“I went to my doctor and told him, ‘My penis is burning.’ He said, ‘That means somebody is talking about it’.”

“Dr. Phil is hiding something. Otherwise, why wouldn’t he use his last name?”

“I have such poor vision I can date anybody.”

The Larry Sanders show was super influential. Tons of current comedy shows would not be around without that show.

Horrible event in Nice, once again in this wretched 2016.
And this song came on my playlist. Not the biggest U2 fan of late, but its lyrics are sadly too relevant today.
How long must we sing this song?
