Very strange move after he seemingly was turning things around after a poor start. Anyway, Mauricio Pochettino has taken over already. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21079956
this was one of the most asinine sackings in the history of sackings. your going to sack a manager who just got you a draw against one of the better sides in the league in chelsea, who got you 7 out of possible 18 points in the last six matches, who got you into the premier league in the first place and has done a fantastic job at bangor city, scunthorpe and southampton. and your going to replace him with a man who has had a history of losing his own dressing room and was sacked after he could'nt get it done at a fairly large spanish club in espanyol. either nicola cortese is a fortune teller with a big crystal ball or he's a blithering idiot. i'd fancy the latter. i will never lose respect for southampton supporters because they are some of the best, but they deserve better than this clown.
