You read a bit too much into my message. I was saying between the youth of the USA and Mexico there is a gap, our U-17s won the World Cup and the U-20s qualifed for the U-20 World Cup, while the USA's U-17s failed at the U-17 World Cup and the U-20 team did not even qualify for their World Cup. I never said anything about a team never producing good players again, nor implied that. All I said was as of right now we have the better youth players. I do not think we are "neck and neck" as you suggested. And let's try not get into the "it means nothing" business, if the USA won a U-17 World Cup I'm sure you would've been happy. And it actually does mean something, youth tournaments usually showcase possible future talent, I'm sure some of these kids could very well be in the Mexican senior team one day, following in the footsteps of Giovani Dos Santos, Carlos Vela, etc. from 2005's U-17 World Cup. Thread was locked, so I felt like saying this here. :)
