kenn, been reading posts on the USL attendance thread re Rhinos. If crowds keep dwindling, do you forsee Rochester ownership changing course once again and consider jumping (back) to NASL? Does being in a league with MLS-2 teams scream "minor league" in a minor-league city? Or do you think he'll just pull the plug? Keep up the good work.

No idea. I can't see why you'd move into a more expensive house if you can't afford the one you're in now.

Yet millions of Americans do. LOL. Just have a soft spot for Rochester from the Lancer glory days ('70-71).

Where did you get that Kashima Bullwinkle badge? I was looking at it thinking "Gosh, that looks familiar for some reason." I went to Tokyo a few years back and saw them play Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the Xerox Super Cup in one of the weirdest games I've ever seen.

It's a photoshop. I took their logo and a Bullwinkle and mashed them up.

Hey Ken I was looking at your website and saw that the high and low for Tampa bay was the same number (after 3 games) it could be a typo.

      just letting you know.

Yes, I am aware of the standard rules of journalism. : ) My brand is Sounders "Fan" Insider. Because of that, I can blur the lines a bit more. Given my brand and in the context of the interview. I don't think saying "we" is inappropriate.

Not when you're talking about the team in a somewhat journalistic capacity, which I believe was the case. I mean, you can do what you want, I guess, but "we" can be the fans or season ticket holders or Association members...but in journalism, even quasi-journalism, it's a major no-no. Glad y'all are having fun up there. Take care.

Thank you.The Sounders are my it is our club. I am an Association member, Season ticket holder and I am on the membership council. Our club has a partership with the fans, so in my humble opinion saying "me" is completely appropriate. : )

It's possible you could add the Tulsa Roughnecks to the list for USL-1... here's a curious pic from the plans for Tulsa's new downtown ballpark...

Much to your surprise, I'm sure, I'm inclined to agree with you on whether a new team should be named the Rowdies. I think that maybe Portland and Vancouver are the only places left where the names of high-profile NASL teams would work. Both Rowdies and Cosmos have too much "mystique" tied to them, and the rights to the Cosmos would probably cost too much anyway. I think it certainly works in some places, like Seattle, but I doubt there would be another Atlanta Chiefs, Philly Atoms, or St. Louis Stars(and thankfully, no Oakland Stompers or Caribous of Colorado :D).

      Peace.

Nope. Only know what I hear, but I'm not in a rush (like some) to get what I hear out into the world so I can look like I'm connected later, or to just hint that I'm in the know and not letting you in on it because I'm a bigshot. I'm waiting to see what actually happens, as opposed to the many things I've heard are going to happen.

And I have no idea about next year's TV deal. I hear there's going to be a TV deal if there's a league. I wasn't approached about it until October last year. I don't know who's going to head it up, who's making decisions, don't know anything. I'll wait to hear something. And if I don't hear anything, that'll be the answer, I guess.

Any updates on what's going on with the MISL and whether you'll be back on FSC next season?
