    I supported Mainz 05 in the 2. Bundesliga (they've since been promoted to the Bundesliga) faithfully from 1998-2005. I was a hopeless Eurosnob until I gradually came around to MLS and the USOC a few years ago.

    I hope the beautiful game grows in the States and to that end I support my (most) local pro club -- the San Jose Earthquakes.

    I've followed the US nats, men and women, since 1998, and attended numerous USSF matches home and abroad. I do NOT follow college soccer; they should be doing their reading.
