Sounds like his ex-wife, his agent, and a lawyer took everything from him. The mansion was under her name. He was still hoping to make some third division team in Mexico this off season, but I'm guessing that didn't work out. Sad, he was probably going to make the jump to Europe after the WC.
I never heard about him going to Man U, but there were talks of him being signed to Sunderland (Steve Bruce liked him a LOT) right before all of this went down.

America was pretty good to Cabanias, he hasn't said anything bad about America neither any Paraguayan can complain about the way they treated Cabanas, but the poor guy got robbed by his greedy agent and that gold digger wife of him. Seeing Cabanias like that is really sad, but at the same time you can't help to admire the way he is making an honest living and he just seems at peace with himself. What I don't understand is why he people didn't sue the place where the incident happened? if anyone has a legitimate case is him.
I think I read somewhere that he didn't have enough funds to even follow through with a law suit but I could be wrong. Doesn't make sense otherwise seeing as some of the paperwork he was told to sign was completed when he hadn't yet regained full consciousness... Talk about getting taken advantage of.

He was here in NY-NJ area about 2 years ago, His bltch ass wife sent him here to collect money from the Paraguayan community you could tell at the time that he wasn't all there mentally, I heard him on the readio today and the good news is that he sounds a lot more aware of everything, the bad news for him is that he now realizes that his money is all gone. He can't play at a high level anymore, at least last year a lot of people were saying that 12 de octubre was just doing him a favor to have him on the team, there were still flashes of genius but not enough, but that was last year and since his problem is not really physical maybe this year he got better.
