The Guardian brought up the fact that if we qualify for the Europa League, this tour may get abbreviated.
If I am in the States I want to go. Every year I can't make it or they are not here, since 2004. Hopefully Moyes is gone by then and Klopp is in.
Anyone got a breakdown of who'd be going to the World Cup from our squad? (assuming fitness I'd guess) de Gea, Jones, Mata, Rooney, Smalling, Hernandez, Nani, Welbeck, van Persie, Cleverly, Valencia, Kagawa, Fellaini and Januzaj If we take them all out you're left with a pretty shockingly dull team.
I imagine Carrick is added to the above? Is he still getting picked? And can we say anything definitely about Januzaj? I don't think he's picked a country yet. Not only that, but if you assume the departures of folks like Rio, Vida, Evra, hopefully Giggs, that leaves Evans, Fletcher, Ashley Young, and alot of the kids for the bulk of the tour. I'd still go, I think, but that is awful. Some of the bigger names would possibly join up at the later matches. The World Cup ends on July 13, but I'd not imagine alot of our squad being involved past the quarters/semis. Maybe the Spaniards, possibly Fellaini if Belgium makes a run.
Best I could do. 3 at the back! Bring Fellatio in defense if necessary, Hernandez up front as a sub of last resort, and Jan Jan if we need to get some more creativity......... ------------------RVP-------- ------------Mata-------Nani Rooney------------------------------Welbeezy -----------------Kagawa--Cleve----------- ---Jones-----------Smalling------------Valencia -------------------DDG----------------------------
I'm confused as to what the hell that is J'can. We are saying that those are all the players gone to the World Cup, making the available players for the US tour a relatively dull bunch.
hehehe. i was trying to form the players listed into some sort of a team. too much time on my hands and a painfully bad attempt at humor. i thought you knew me by now. hi I'm J'can, self proclaimed comedian and I'm unemployed.
Real Madrid is in Michigan, Ann Arbor I believe. Quite surprised that match wasn't somewhere further south.
Do hope Rothwell and Pearson go on pre season to impress Van Gaal straight away but seems tough for them in that position amongst other young players in other positions. Carrick, Cleverley, Herrera, Fletcher and even Anderson all had no WC involvement and should go.
