Wow I didn't figure atletico gave real tough battles throughout history..

I figured u guys stomped them until recently, but checking those old scores they look pretty dead even heated battles.

Epic matchup, big test for our boys and whether they will sack up and run through walls to beat a quality team. Can't wait, and ******** Diego Costa!

Happy to see Fabs make the list, also IMO ADM needs to start on the bench.

    Good thread @Laaura.

Can a mod change the time the thread title to Madrid local time, since the game is in Madrid, i see no reason that the timezone in the title should be EST.

    OT:

It will be interesting to see how players react after the Bilbao draw. I hope they are not making Ronaldos red card an excuse to why we drew them. We have mentally fragile players in our team, we've always had, but we also have some tough mother********ers who i hope can lead us to victory tonight.

I expect Atleti to drop back and play with counters, as they usually do against us, let's hope Carlo has a good strat planned for them. He was pretty weak tactically (and sub wise) vs Athleti.

I don't really care too much about the CDR but I do care about this tie. We've lost 2 straight to them and I don't want to get into a losing habit against them as we're coming up to an important period of the season where winning big games gives us much needed confidence.

2 PM EST! That's what I'm talking 'bout, no conversions necessary! :D

Ancelotti confirmed Arbs and Blondie this one and Varane may get some minutes.

Clos Gomez is referee.. expect multiple yellow cards and probably a red card or two somewhere.

Fantastic. We just can't catch a break with the RFEF. Expect him to allow them to get away with a lot of kicking and hacking, and then turn around and send one of our guys off. This will be followed by a shocking linesman call against us, resulting in a further red card for our players falling for the provocation.

I think you're overreacting with the referees.

A common thing among football fans. Both Real Madrid and Barca were lucky on some occasions and unlucky in others, but it's hard to say the referees had any influence on la liga standings.

They don't influence the standings in any (major) way. But the thing I hate the most, when everyone starts yapping at how ''that was a yellow'' or ''that wasn't a yellow''. In all the decisions the referees make, they're right in about 90% of them. Even if the average fan disagrees. Because if they weren't they'd be out of La Liga in a few months.

Not sure if srs. Ref's especially La Liga refs are biased cockroaches always trying to influence the game. Epl's ref standards are much much better. They let the game flow.
