This is a terrific article about the financial crisis teams face in Argentina and the offloading of players--but not enough, apparently. Gaston Fernandez-to-Timbers is mentioned, as was MLS target Pablo Perez.

Makes you wonder why we aren't getting more players from Argentina at these prices.

Not really a news link, but would just like to point out that MLSSoccer.com has finally added ORL to the team navigation bar. It only took two and half months. Pretty sure NYC was on the nav link within a week.

Anyone want to make a guess as to how long it will take for Miami to make it on there?

I thought this was huge news, but a correction at the top says that they got eminent domain on everything but the Chruch.

“the City has not even filed the eminent domain paperwork in court yet on that property”

That church is basically the only thing standing between getting construction going.

Why not have a Church 15 feet from a field? It'll be unique if nothing else.

I spent my elementary years in Columbus. It was always a very economically diverse city. State capital, college town, industrial central and agricultural center. Very evenly split between those four.

What I'm saying is that three guys in hard hats was never what Columbus was about. Also, lot of tech in Columbus.
