From this article: This confuses me. A draft pick is something you use and then it's gone. An international roster spot is something you keep, right? Why would the Crew trade it away? Or am I wrong here -- do the spots reset every year, so that Vancouver will need to trade again to get spots for the 2015 season? ------RM
You can trade away spots for any number of years (or permanently). I believe this one is only for one year.
Correct, but I think it's always a one year thing. I seem to recall even reading that it was a rule, but that may be the gin talking.
