January 13 - 31 2014 in Uruguay. Here the results of the draw : Group A ( Montevideo ) Uruguay Brazil Colombia Chile Venezuela Group B ( Fray Bentos ) Argentina Ecuador Paraguay Bolivia Peru
Yes, final round will be a group of 4. the draw was apparently based on the results of the last U-20 tournament . Group A looks very competitive, Group B on the other hand have Argentina and Paraguay as clear favorites
The tournament started yesterday 13. The first two teams qualify to the WWC U20: GROUP A Brasil 2 - 0 Chile (Patricia;Byanca) Colombia 3 - 2 Uruguay (Manuela González;Leici Santos(2) - Gimena Lorenzo;Ana Laura Millán) Free: Venezuela. GROUP B Today: Argentina - Ecuador Paraguay - Perú Free: Bolivia It seems that whoever made the draw for the groups hated the Home team Uruguay ..... or love too much Argentina

Well Colombia are out ahead in A........... And in B, Argentina are awful, lose to Ecuador........ and then Ecuador loses to..... Bolivia? Never heard of them to field a team before.
So, after half of the matches have been played, Brazil and Columbia are essentially already qualified for the next stage at 6pts each, all other teams at 0pts, while in group B, we have Paraguay at 4pts, Bolivia and Ecuador at 3pts but Bolivia with a game in hand, Argentina and Peru bringing up the rear at 1 and 0pts respectively, right?
Any qualifiers with Brasil requires the 2nd digit in their GF and somebody's GA Code: BRA CHI COL URU VEN ~~~ 2-0 [_] 8-1 [_] 6+09 +10-01 Brasil [_] [_] ~~~ 3-2 2-0 6+03 +05-02 Colombia 0-2 ~~~ [_] [_] [_] 0-02 =00-02 Chile [_] [_] 0-2 [_] ~~~ 0-02 =00-02 Venezuela 1-8 [_] 2-3 ~~~ [_] 0-08 +03-11 Uruguay ARG ECU PAR PER BOL 0-0 [_] ~~~ 2-0 [_] 4+02 +02-00 Paraguay [_] 1-0 [_] [_] ~~~ 3+01 +01-00 Bolivia 1-0 ~~~ [_] [_] 0-1 3=00 +01-01 Ecuador ~~~ 0-1 0-0 [_] [_] 1-01 +00-01 Argentina [_] [_] 0-2 ~~~ [_] 0-02 +00-02 Perú
Third Matchday GROUP A Colombia 0 - 0 Chile Uruguay 1 - 4 Venezuela (Gimena Lorenzo - María Peraza; Idalys Pérez; Paola Villamizar; Marialba Zambrano) Free: Brasil Colombia 7 (3G) - Brasil 6 (2G) - Venezuela 3 (2G) - Chile 1 (2G) - Uruguay 0 (3G) GROUP B Ecuador - Perú Argentina - Bolivia Free: Paraguay
Poor Chile, having their two toughest games first... Even if they win their two remaining games, it's impossible for them to pass both Brazil and Columbia, meaning they're likely out now. I'd really like to know how these groups were decided.
If Venezuela beat Chile, and Brazil beat Colombia. Venezuela ' s last match will be against an already qualified Brazilian team, a draw with Brazil would set Venezuela with 7 points , the same like Colombia.......and maybe we could have a chance...... ( dreaming doesn't cost a thing ) dream
Go back to 2012 and Brasil ran through this 38-0. From that perspective, it's Brasil and everyone else. So how do you balance out everyone else? Chile had a good tournament in Brasilia, and now, everyone is jumping on the wagon. If they are solid, there is nothing in that draw but Brasil as usual. Even if they are exchanged out for Peru, Argentina and Para could have their number. Either they are good or not.
No doubt Brazil is the power in the region. Then , according with the tradition and results of the past, is Colombia and Argentina, next very close come Chile, Paraguay, Venezuela and Uruguay , and in the last level Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia. Unbalanced groups are for example the results of this draw, setting Argentina and Paraguay with 3 very weak teams ( Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru) meanwhile in the other group apart a of Brazil , setting Venezuela , Colombia, Chile plus the host Uruguay ( no weak teams there) . That is what I refer to when I mentioned unbalanced groups. In my opinion , they should have set as seeded teams Brazil and Uruguay ( host ) Argentina- Colombia Chile - Paraguay Venezuela - Ecuador Bolivia - Peru
Not exactly impossible, because Colomnia has only one game left. And, its against Brasil. Assuming they lose, their GD may be negative.
With a draw in Colombia-Brasil both teams go to the next round . But we can dream for a miracle like the male's Preolímpico U23 2000 qualifying for the Olympics Sydney 2000: For the last matchday Brasil was in the next round, Chile was free with 7 points (0) and Colombia with 7 points (+6) played against Brasil. The only way for Chile pass to next round was for Brasil win for 7 goals over Colombia. The Chilean team didn't play that last day and they had reservations for the fly to back home... ... and that last day Brasil defeated Colombia ... 9-0 (thanks Ronaldinho , Edú, Alvaro, Athirson, Adriano, Lucas, Warley). In the final round, Chile showed good football that had not shown in the first round and with a win over Argentina qualifyed to Sydney 2000 were they won the Bronze medal.
Third Matchday GROUP A Colombia 0 - 0 Chile Uruguay 1 - 4 Venezuela (Gimena Lorenzo - María Peraza; Idalys Pérez; Paola Villamizar; Marialba Zambrano) Free: Brasil Colombia 7 (3G) - Brasil 6 (2G) - Venezuela 3 (2G) - Chile 1 (2G) - Uruguay 0 (3G) GROUP B Ecuador 4 - 1 Perú (Adriana Barré; Kelly Vera(2); Ambar Torres - Scarleth Flores) Argentina 0 - 1 Bolivia (Ana Rojas) Free: Paraguay Ecuador 6(3G) - Bolivia 6(2G) - Paraguay 4(2G) - Argentina 1(3G) - Perú 0(2G)
So: Argentina, the supposedly strongest team in group B, is now the first one of the group officially eliminated. This is silly beyond reason.
