For the (solo-)WC traveler who likes to share accommodation, likes to meet up with other forum-members or travel together.

Personally I am interested in this around Recife and/or Fortaleza. Have tickets for Costa Rica-Italy (June 20) and Ivory Coast-Greece (June 24). Booked some hostels already but I am flexible.

I'll be in Salvador with two other buddies if anyone is heading there to meet up somewhere - bar, restaurant, fan zone etc. Have tickets for R16 and QF. We will be there from June 29-July-8. Have a house rented in Rio Vermelho and we are looking to obviously watch soccer, but on off days, do some exploring/adventure

    Great Stefan!

I will be in Salvador from 11th of June-21th and from 30th of June to 4th of July.

I will be in Manaus from 21/22th of June to 26th of June

And from 26th on June to the 30th in Rio

Let me know if any of you are in these cities on these dates and are interested in sharing accommodation or just simply meeting up!

I'll be in Salvador for SWI x FRA and for the QF. I'd be interested in a meetup. I obviously know my way around the city, having lived most of my life there :p

I too will be in Manaus from 21 to 25 June. I can't find any reasonable accommodations. Do you have something lined up? I'm traveling solo the entire tournament so I'm highly interested in shared accommodations.

    Will

First question is where to stay? Almost everything is sold out. I want to stay for a few days but I might consider flying in watching match 30 and going back to the airport.

I highly doubt everything is sold out, but what kind of acomodation are you looking for? Lively neighbourhood, close to the stadium, cheap, near attractions?

Renting a beachhouse in Pipa [Just South of Natal] as a base from June 14th - 28th.

I have Cat 1 TST4 for the US and would consider getting a larger place if people need a few days accommodation here and there for other travelers at games in Natal or Recife. I am flying in from Malaysia [expat here] joining another traveler from Portland.

Sold out or not available yet, I don’t know.. A few searches on booking.com, airbnb, and hostelworld turn up almost no results.

Price is a high priority for me..

Interested in meeting up and joining some US supporters and as I mentioned above I planned on being in Pipa. I'll send you a private message.

What do you think about the possibility to rent an apartment or a house for a week? Is there a good website for this?

Didnt plan on it because I am on my own. My intention was to use bus transportation or perhaps go in on a rental with another group.

I'm a solo traveler USA fan. I am going all out up through the Quarterfinals, then I have to head back to the States for a Family Reunion! I will be wherever the USA could possibly end up through the quarterfinals. Here is my itinerary and I'm booked at most places and can accommodate 1 extra person either for free or for an small extra cost:

Natal: June 11-17 (staying at Suite that is part of a bar right on Ponta Negra Beach!)
Manaus: June 17-24 (staying various places including Juma Amazon Lodge on June 19-21)
Recife: June 24-27 (looking to book nice place south of Recife that is on the beach)
Porto Alegre: June 27-July 1 (looking to book a decent place in central Porto Alegre)
Salvador: July 1-2 (booked nice place in Rio Vermelho)
Rio de Janerio: July 2-4 (looking to book a place in Copacabana)
Brasilia: July 4-7 (looking to book some places).

I'll end up getting my accommodations and if you are interested in sharing a place in any of the spots at the same time feel free to PM me and we'll see if I can share my room with you!

Nice, I am staying at Beach Hostel La Rocca Brasil. Have you sorted out transportation? Are you making the trip to Manaus?

I contacted the place where I am staying and they said that there are plenty of travel agencies in Porto de Galinhas that offer van rides to Recife. They said there would be plenty that will run on match days to the stadium and back. They also said that with enough interest, they would hire one for their guests. WORST case scenario, an executive bus line will take you to Recife for about $6. From there, a taxi or shuttle to the stadium.

I'm not going to Manaus. I applied for three specific matches in Recife during the random selection drawing and got all three. I thought we would take our chances with whatever teams came to Recife during the time we could afford to stay there. We just got lucky with ITA/CRC, MEX/CRO, and USA/GER.

Hi Bigote, What do you think of the matches you got? Do you aspect a interesting supporters delegation / local interest or what about the matches itself? I only have ITA-CRC, found it a bit disappointing but maybe staying a bit longer for the MEX-CRO match.
