World Cup 2014 tickets: general discussion: NOT for trading or selling

I havent seen anything come out

It's bed time, If I don't have anything debited when I wake up tomorrow I guess im screwed in this period....

 

I applied for 2 games in RIO, last week of the first round, for 3 tickets each. CC has a pending for the total, however it is NOT a charge just yet. They've removed it from available balance, but not added to what I owe, so I think FIFA is just getting ready.

They have to do something or the pending charge will be removed automatically. When it shows as charged, or my FIFA account is updated, I'll relax.

 

With the FCFS they will issue tickets throughout the period the gateway is open. You never know what's coming up till it's there. You get groups of tickets for loads of games and sometimes just one game comes up, it's all pretty random.
When you see a ticket you want get in there fast and hope you are lucky.

 

You can relax now. That is the position we are all in. It is done.....

 

Is that from the FCFS after the final draw is made or from the earlier FCFS stage? It seems to fit with what might happen after the second FCFS stage but people can't give their tickets back to FIFA until later in the year I don't think, besides they're unlikely to do it in big numbers until after the draw.

 

i called up Citicards two weeks ago giving them the heads up and i got the same email this morning. I told them to authorize the transaction. i sent FIFA a message through their "contact us" section in the "MY ticketing account"

within the hour i received this message from FIFA:

Dear Customer,


Thank you for contacting FIFA Ticketing Centre.


There will be an automatic second attempt to charge the card. In order to authorise payments from FIFA in foreign countries please inform your bank as soon as possible about the following information. The currency will be in USD, the payee name is FIFA World Cup Ticketing and country the payment will be requested from is Switzerland. If FIFA is not able to charge the nominated payment card, the Ticket application will be automatically rejected.


The status of your Ticket Application will be communicated to you by email by 10th November 2013. The next opportunity to purchase Tickets for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ will commence on 11 November 2013and concludes 28 November 2013

 

Then, If someone had credit card stolen ou fraud, won't have any chance.... I'm very upset!

 

Hi folks. I'm new to the forum, and have been following this thread for a few weeks now as people have been discussing ticket sales.

Checked my CC this morning and I have $1640 in charges pending from FIFA! I'm so thrilled!

I applied for two TST7 level 1 tix for England, looks like I got TST4 level 1! Couldn't be happier as that was about what I wanted. Of course I would have been over the moon with TST7 tickets but that's just sooooooo much $$. LOL

Still not convinced the pending charge is a real ticket. My son also got the same thing. So, we both applied for 3 tickets to the same two games in RIO, demand was high (according to the FIFA site). Neither of us has actually had the money charged to the account, just pending as if they are checking it will happen. when a charge shows for real, then we'll know

either they are testing things, or for tickets in high demand in RIO, we both won the lottery for both games at cat 1. Call me skeptical, but doubtful.

 

well i disagree due to the fact that some people haven't gotten all there demands.

I only got 3 of 5 games... if they were "just testing", then i would have had a test for all 5.

 

I called my CC company, and they told me the charges had been accepted, even though they still show as Pending on my CC website. So I think I'm good!

 

My brother's CC got hit for $2400 for 4 Cat. 3 Costa Rica TST-5. Pumped to go to a quarter final match!

 

So I just thought of something. If you win a tst-7... your team makes the semi's and lose do you get a ticket to the 3rd place match instead of the final?! that would be the ultimate salt in the wound lol.

 

Same for me, charges on my CC, nothing on my FIFA profile.

Glad I called, it was a bit of a long process with a bunch of transfers and holds, but I am glad I called them last week.

Actually I paid with mastercard.

 

Group stage games in Salvador, Brasilia and Fortaleeza (Brazil match)

 

Prior world cup people, so for those of us that have charges now, in the last tournament did people get more tickets after the first charge? (little hope for tickets to the final but looking forward so much to whatever tickets I did end up getting!)

 

FWIW, the games I tried for were 2 in Rio, 2 in São Paulo and 1 in Belo. All were Category 1 for 2 tickets. All were going to be granted, but the charge denied by Chase was $1,400. Chase said that the amount wasn't the issue. Rather that it came from Switzerland.

I'm trying to be hopeful that FIFA will try again soon.

 

I just applied for two knockout matches. One in SP and one in Rio. No charges. Was I overconfident or foolish or both?

Now, what are the chances in FCFS round?

 

In Chicago here – I was charged $700 late last night out of the $2,040 that I applied for. I applied for two tickets to each game all Cat 1 tickets - Game #1 (Sao Paulo), Game #8 (Manaus), Game #13 (Salvador), Game #19 (Rio). If I were a betting man, I would put my money on us receiving Cat 1 tickets for Manaus and Salvador. Does anyone know if they have received tickets to the opening game in Sao Paulo??

 

I would bet heavily that you got Manaus. Even if it was yellow, FIFA would be stupid to turn down ANYONE for Manaus or Cuiba at this stage.

 

I was just thinking, if anyone wanted to do the World Cup for a decent price... Manaus is the way to go. Tickets right now are 1200 RT, game tickets will likely be easy to get, hotels there aren't too rough either. Under 2k all in seems doable to get to experience a bit of the World Cup.

 

With TST7 you go to the final not the 3rd/4th place game.

I am a bit surprised that they have downgraded TSTs. My understanding is that with say a TST7 you either get a 7 or nothing but they may have changed this.
