I like this Pjanic kid, who has been doing well for Roma so far. He would definitely add some creativity in our game, but that would also mean that either Isco, Khedira or Asier gets benched, which shouldn't happen. He lacks some stamina though Other than a new striker, I'd like it if we could sign a new creative midfielder as well.
You wouldn't say that if Pjanic had a different nationality lmao He has been doing well, but he would create a luxury problem.
Well didn't Perez already declare that after the biggest signing ever we are not going to bring in a single player now?
I'd promote Benavente before I sign Pjanic. As a matter of fact he should be on the team sheets for CdR fixtures as well this season. He is the closest thing to Oezil there is right now and he is developing at a pretty rapid pace (not unlike a certain Jese ). Spare me the lack of experience argument too, it's just as big a risk integrating a player from another league as it is a youngster, especially if we use this season as our guide. And I wouldn't sign anyone this winter, barring a striker maybe, this is for next summer unless we have some sort of crazy injury or something.
I still don't understand where that sentiment is coming from, he started Dani today, subbed the captain for Petey and left the Golden Boy on the bench in favor of Jese. Morata was dropped today but he's getting good minutes. The only beef I have is Casemiro but I truly believe based on his history they are bringing him along slowly but I think as the season goes on and the fixtures start coming thick and fast he'll start seeing good minutes as well. It's still only October.
I agree it's October and he has plenty of time, but come on he has to make the decisions quicker! Angel was struggling clearly.why didn't he sub Jese at HT? I am NOT a fan of United and/or Moyes but when he knew he is losing to Stoke 2-1 he brought his best youth player Januzaj at 55-60 min mark. The same guy has rescued Utd from such sticky situations 2-3 times this season now.
Man, if you said Dzeko in the same sentence with Pjanic, I would fly to Holland and buy you a blunt. But I think Pjanic is good where he is. RM might be too big for him right now, and that's coming from his biggest (bigger than my Dzeko dick sucking) supporter.
Because you don't panic, you trust your players for 10-15 minutes to see if they can turn it around. And Ancelotti made two subs pretty quickly, in a tight game using your third sub with almost twenty minutes left can bite you in the ass. And you were crying for Isco the entire second half and now you're slaying Ancelotti for not bringing on Jese? And who cares about Man Utd? Just because it works for them it means it will work for us? the sub Ancelottieat the 60 minute mark, Petey and then Benz, worked well too.
I was crying for Isco because there was 0 creativity. We were using that frustrating long ball strategy. That has nothing to do with the possibility of subbing Angel earlier with Jese
I don't think any club is too big for Pjanic the way he performs NOW. All he needs is a good coach who has confidence in him and starts him every match.
How would Jese alleviate the frustrating long ball strategy exactly? You were crying for creator fine but the point is you're bashing Ancelotti for not bringing on Jese sooner using hindsight as your guide which is whack. And again Di Maria has been one of our best players all season you don't just pull him the second things start to go bad and he is more of a "creator" than Jese anyway. That Ancelotti considered and used Jese at all shows his trust is growing in the majority of these youngsters by the game. Before this season started if you would have told me Jese, Morata, and Dani would have played the amount of minutes they have and had the impact they have had as well at this point in October I would've taken that and ran. Integrating these players isn't a "quick fix" solution, it's a process and Ancelotti is doing well enough bringing them along.
What's wrong with you @mymy33. Ancelotti clearly should have played all of our younger players from the start so that they would have been completely overwhelmed, surrendered 5 goals and come away from the Camp Nou scarred for life. Now we're going to have to deal with team feeling confident next time we face Barca. Poor Jese, Illara, and Dani they're gonna be left thinking they can compete with the Cules.
Are these the same guys who had their asses handed to them in the form of a 5-0 drubbing in their first Classico.
