Signed for QPR: http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/231013-exclusive-onyewu-signs-1128750.aspx Mod edit: Old thread is here: https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/...onyewu-malaga-r.1974320/page-22#post-28913819
If he is truly fit, 31 is not too old. IF he is good enough to earn consistent playing time at QPR, then the World Cup is not out of the realm of the possible despite his inability to play well for the US since 2009. A big IF, of course.
Awesome deal for Gooch. Definately puts him back into Brazil picture if he can stay healthy and become a starter for them. Only issue though - the article says his nickname is "Guchi".
QPR is currently 2nd, still undefeated at 8 wins and 3 draws. They've had a CB pairing of Richard Dunne and Clint Hill for most of the matches. Hopefully Gooch can break in the starting line up.
Gooch's agent is just about the biggest boss i can think of. Yet another sweet gig for the big man; heavy promotion favorite, gets to live in London. Hell maybe he has another move after this one?
I'm a big fan of this move. Let's hope Gooch can stay healthy and become a regular starter as they fight their way back to the Premier League. It looks like CB is currently their weakest spot so he'll have a realistic shot at starting right away. This is one dude Joey Barton would be wise not to mess with.
Not too shabby. I propose: Gooch: The International House Hunter - Episode 7: Loftus Rd. 8*7 paying homage to the countries he's lived (minus US) : France, Belgium, England, Holland, Italy, Portugal, & Spain**
Apparently he's known as "Guchi" according to the article on the QPR website... better start calling him "Guchi Mane".
Plus I believe Gooch is fluent in French and Portuguese and maybe some Italian. Must be fun when he and Bradley are in camp together.

Gooch is getting a lot of press for this move. Is it just cause it's an English team or because QPR have a chance to be promoted or just cause he's a Yank.
