Do you think so?....they are using mostly wila players..I don't see how that's going to help unless they plan to use this wila light team for the New Zealand games.

That is what Piojo plans to do save maybe for one or two more euros for New Zealand.

I am a bit confused with all the hate with this roster call up. For once we don't have Torrado and Salcido, and this has to be one of the youngest call ups in recent memory. Yes, I hate seeing Maza on there, but to be honest...Ayala may have looked even worse than Maza in the past two games (which is really sad).

I doubt New Zealand has many technical players, Maza's height could help there. Then again, he was awful vs Jamaica, who are arguably worse.

Personally i don't mind the America Players not even Maza, and the rest that played mediocre or awful at the gold cup.

The reality is that the team needed to be overhauled after Chepo left and Vucetich failed by not ridding the squad of all the mediocre tigres and monterrey players.

America and Leon have been the two teams that have started off hot in Mexico and it makes sense to use those two as the base while adding players from other squads to fix any problems.

    He got rid of Maza.
    Didn't play Lobos/Salcido/Meza/Torrado at all.
    only flaw was using Chaco.

And having him play a full 90 when he was clearly gassed.

He left them on the team and the reality is that it wasn't just Maza that was screwing up. Maza imploded after being decent enough most of the time and we all just heaped all the blame on him instead of understanding it was a collective problem.

Too many players aren't performing and he should have been more ruthless by dumping them completely and not wasting spots on players like salcido, torrado, etc that were on the bench.

To give Maza sole blaming for the Jamaica is silly. Especially, since our midfield of Salcido and Torrado got steamrolled that game.

This is a 2 game team, assuming they call Moreno and Gio this should get the job done vs New Zealand

    ------------------------------Corona-----------------------------
    --------Rafa-----------------Maza---------------Moreno------
    -Aguilar-------------------------------------------Layun-----
    ----------------------------Medina--------------------------
    ---------Gullit----------------------------Lobos------------
    ----------------Gio-------------Oribe-----------------------

After that im sure there will be another coach that will take everyone into account leading up to the World Cup. No way guys like Reyes, Herrera, Guardado, Chicharo miss the world cup.

I'm seeing the positive side of calling up 8 America players (or at least I'm trying to stay positive).

This is not that much different from LaVolpe's era where we had 6 Chivas players with Reinforcements from America (Pardo) and cruz Azul (Kikin, Torrado, Osorio). We had Oswaldo Sanchez, Morales, Omarcito, Pineda, Salcido and Maza. Still to me we played attractive futbol and able to get results and Win matches and Dominated minnows.

The collective team work (which is damn important in this sport) will make the difference between Chepo's era and Piojo's era.

Yeah but back then those guys were probably the best in their positions. I don't think that is the case now.
