I think you should put the home team first in the title, this is confusing......and btw, Bale probably won't get a minute in this one. Player to watch CR7.

Seriously, WTF is wrong with the powers that be? Right when the season starts there is an International break, then 2 weeks into the season, another International break, this time teams are not playing for 2 weeks in club competition.

You can tell these people are idiots. If they had a modicum of common sense they would work together and come up with a better system, perhaps once the club season starts, for 5 weeks there are no International breaks and the teams play 7-8 club games, in order to really settle down the teams and really start the season off nicely. Instead we have this sh8t

Don't forget that Illhara might make his debut too.

If Isco is not fit for this one we will suffer. We have to put Khedira on to replace Isco? wtf is that?

Doubt Illarra starts guys, seems like they'd want to ease him in a bit.
Good to see the Yellow Submarine back, but I hope we stomp them like we used to.
Can't wait until we get playing again, these NT breaks continue to suck donkey nuts.

Villareal looked incredibly quick in their last game at home, when they approached the goal. We'll need to score plenty on them if we have an off day in defence.

With a Ramos and Pepe CB partnership, an off day in defence is always a strong possibility.

Pepe's looked good so far, anyone think that Varane will have some work to do to get back into the team a la Casillas?

He'll definitely get more chances than Iker due to the bigger number of players he can replace.

    Casillas
    Arbeloa Pepe Ramos Marcelo
    Illaramendi Modric
    Bale Isco Ronaldo
    Benzema

Benzema is living on the edge, he has to do something here. Isco has a bigger role to take over, a much more important role now than ever before. Bale needs time, give him that he'll do the rest. Ronaldo, hope he becomes a happier bunny! While Modric and Illaramendi are the pivot players, just in front of the defense. Keep it sharp and cool, deliver here.

Villarreal have looked very sharp so far in the season. I've missed their 4-4-2 system, always been a nice team to watch when they find their rhythm.

We have to make sure that we play with intensity from the start and not let them settle into the game before we do, as a result I wouldn't start with Illaramendi but would go for a different option.

I have no clue what is going on with our injuries but I wish all involved speedy recoveries.

LOL wtf. 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 games is living on the edge? Damn I guess we should sell Ronaldo in the january transfer season then...1 goal after 30 shots on goal. Ronaldo has played horribly. Stop joining the herd of sheep in bashing Benzema. He has started the season well.

With Isco, Marcelo and Ronaldo injured and Bale still not 100% match ready I can see the following changes.

    Modric will fulfil Isco's position
Illarra will take over Modric's position
    Nacho for LB
    Morata in for Ronaldo

Starting 11, not formation, will be something like:

    Morata Benzema Di Maria
    Modric Illarra Casemiro
    Nacho Ramos Pepe Carvajal
    Keeper

All the reports I read said Isco's injury shouldn't affect his availability for us? Has that changed? And I'd be shocked if Ronaldo didn't play after receiving treatment for a week.

I used to criticize him plenty in the past but he deserves credit recently. I almost admire him now, despite all the boos he gets every game, he still manages to either score or give an assist. He is performing well this season...scoring and giving assists. That is his job. Without his goals and assists we would be bottom half of the table. True story. People are sheep and ignorant. You don't boo a player who just won you the game or provided an assist that gives you an erection. That suggests there is no logic or understanding involved and only hate.

He needs to work harder of course and hopefully Ancelotti/Zidane will get that out of him but he is delivering right now and that deserves credit.
