This is VERY good. An infusion of confidence. Zusi and Fabian on, both sides becomes involved. Now one of Cameron or Jonson need to start coming up with more purpose. Problem is, both are concerned (with good reason) about that back line. Cameron should stay back and cover alone. Jones is less dangerous (to the US) if away from the defense.

Zusi and Johnson are the sole bright spots right now.

They say 2-0 is the most dangerous score in soccer...

a little hope left in the tank. I would still get Johannsson and Mixx in there this half.

Good ending to the half. We should be either tied 2-2, amazing save on Fabian. and lucky Costa Rica couldn't pile it on.

We've lost Michael Bradley for at least the game, the field seems weird, and Chiquidracula is calling a damn good game at least US-wise. Who knew?

US has to fix that midfield. Little was connecting during the first half.

I called it gentleman... 2-1 halftime, we have a chance

Klinsmann is a 2nd half man...

love former teammates Dempsey and Ruiz talking there into the tunnel...

Damn, Dempsey.. you belong in Europe dude.. ridiculous to see Donovan/Dempsey toiling in the depths of Jay Heaps-land.

I have been impressed with the way he has called the game. I thought for sure the fix was in.

Jones and Orozco-Fiscal have to come off at halftime. I'd like to see Zusi move into Jones' spot, Parkhurst into MOF's, and Johansson maybe into Zusi's.

Yep, but what's worse is a 2-0 lead within the first 20 minutes like Costa Rica got. There's so much time for the game to change in such situations.

Okay. That was a damn disaster and it's 2-1. They can do this. They have GOT to fix the Zusi/Orozco disaster of a right side.

I'm glad the players, especially Dempsey and the Costa Rican Fulham player, seem very cordial to one another.

Awful half of soccer. Absolutely ********ing abysmal first 20 min. Lucky to be 2-1.

With that said, I wouldn't be surprised by anything that happens in the second half. The game seems to have evened out a bit.
