With a huge wage cut overall. He's getting paid about a third of what he was being paid at QPR in total.

That's what leaving that hell called QPR feels like, I guess.

Well I'm glad to see PJS take on the challenge and put his money aside (more or less and machinations aside)

Yes. A good news. And the good thing is all the parties involved are happy. PJS gets to play at PSV, PSV gets PJS for nothing, and QPR slashes their wage drain. :D

Must be just a thrill for those kids who only heard about park. Now they get to see him in person.

    Any word on jersey number?

Lets be realistic. Its a great move for him but hes a shadow of what he was. It will be fun to see another KPA in CL/Europa, and good for him to relive old times but it wont be the same PJS from back then.

My expectation for park isn't high as some us might think.i don't care about him being a shadow of himself. What I really want to see from him is give every ounce of energy and heart when he's in the field. His age maybe 32, but I want to see the effort and the heart of a 24 yr old. That kind of effort is a huge motivation for me personally. Watching our sports heroes kicking ass, makes me want to do my task harder as well.

And for the kids of psv supporters, I think a club like psv trying to win a champions league are highly unlikely now. And the competition of the biggest, wealthiest, and the best. I remember a quote from Peter drury of then skysports mention about psv having the smallest budget of last 16 nevermind the last 4 during 2005 semi final 1st leg against aC Milan. For psv Eindhoven, a club on a budget won't be doing the same. So I think the kids supporters knows that too. So what is their expectation? To win the domestic league and dethrone Ajax. I think they'll settle for that.

Just please score some goals. Don't be anonymous on the stat sheet. It's been way too long since we've seen his goal celebration (was his last one vs Norwich in May 2012?)

His vs Greece, Japan, and Liverpool in 2010 and vs Arsenal in 2011 brings back fond memories.

    can't stop smiling! :D

some of the younger posters here have no idea how good they've got it. just look @ the number of players to follow on the Abroad Board (and growing every year), just shows what happened after WC'02 and Guus. for a certain generation of posters here, we had a handful of players to follow and that was it: Hiddink's boys, AJH, SKH, CDR. and there were failed 'experiments' in SCG @ Feyenoord and LCS @ Real Sociedad. looking back, it seems like table scraps compared to today....:D

To be honest, I think Park still has a decent amount of fuel left in him.

Yeah sure he won't be the same but the man can still produce. He has all the reasons to build and strive motivation. A team that's in a champions league spot, returning to a club that's helped pave his career, a respectable veteran that can influence and impact the youth, and finally an illustrious team not some scrap club like qpr.
