I actually think he could have, especially after Mier came in. Our midfield was annihilated. We had no possession, especially to attack. He holds on to the ball well, and distributes; and in these games they give you space, unlike concacaf.
It is pretty funny to read the comments about height and stuff This seriously all falls to putting players in positions to succeed Playing Maza, Salcido, Torrado, and the rest against a team of the talent is setting them up for failure.
